The best recurring commission products out there

I found out early on, that promoting recurring commission products as an affiliate was a pretty smart way of spending my time. Let's face it, anything that means you are paid more than once for your effort is a great idea.

For anyone who has not come across this concept before. It is the same as any ordinary affiliate arrangement i.e. you promote somebody's product and if it sells you get a commission ) anywhere up to 100% of the selling fee). With a recurring commission product, you are looking at something that the customer has to pay an ongoing subscription for (e.g. a membership fee) and therefore you get a recurring commission.

So for the benefit of others thinking about using this strategy, I thought I would start the process to collect the details of products that are around at the moment offering recurring commission.

So if you are someone who is offering such a product, or are someone who has found a recurring commission product that you really like (or any that you didn't that you want to warn people off), please add to this thread and let's see just how many we can get together in one place!

All the best
Andy

Well the biggest site I have gotten a nice flow of income from is aweber. Many people I help create websites for need aweber, so it will be a product that will give me a nice income for years. They payout a nice Recurring 30% commission. I only make about $300 monthly now, but hopefully it picks up.

There are 2,330 recurring-income products available for affiliates to promote on ClickBank at the moment.

But it's really important to work out (from the Marketplace statistics) for roughly how long the average buyer remains subscribed: it doesn't help any of us, in the long run, to promote something from which almost everyone drops out after a month or two - most of those won't be easy customers to whom to promote other products/services in future.

I couldn't agree more . I hope that this thread will also give us some qualative information along with the quantative information within Clickbank (or any other marketplace).

A very good shout, and one I have used myself. I would also suggest people broaden this thought out to all the other well respected autoresponders, as they all have similarly attractive offers.

        cheers

The key of course is to find a product or service that the consumer continues to use long-term. In our industry, autoresponders and web hosting are good examples. People generally don't want to lose their lists or move their websites. In the physical product world you should look at products that are consumed and need to be replaced. The network marketing industry is a good place to find those products.

OP - since it is your thread what are some of the products that you recommend? I have found that most recurring products are very short term.

Some good products that are recurring are mostly in the IM niche and unfortunately most people can use their own link. things such as affilorama. For Im related products I look for non CB products that use things like amember to run their aff programs.

It is easiest to look in non IM related niches.

You are spot on my brother. 1 and 3 should b the safest as few people are willing to take the trouble of changing auto responders and web hosting. It is too much of a hassle to change these two.

Great advice. Just one thing to watch out for...

Personally, I like submission tools. I've read so much on internet marketing that I feel I know enough about the topic to just do it, but finding great tools to market with is more important now.

Here are some I know of:

Article Marketing - Submit Your Article
    Video Marketing - Traffic Geyser
Joint Ventures - JV Notify Pro

Onlywire also a great submission tool for bookmarking. You'll find that on the Google Affiliate Network.

    Good luck,

It is a no brainer that residual income is better then one time commissions programs.

    Do this math:

Take a $25 product and over the course of a year imagine that you get a total of 100 customers. If you earn a one time commission, you will earn $2500 in revenue.

Then take the same product and get $25 per month commission. Let's say that you get 100 customers over the whole year and only 50 pay the full 12 months for membership. Your income would be higher then $15,000 for 1 year.

Sure people will cancel but at 50 people, your income will go over the $15,000 for that same year.

mrr - monthly recurring revenue - is the only way to fly. Frank above listed 3 mrr ideas, and apart from membership sites I agree. The goal with mrr is to promote products or services where the payments last for years (I'd prefer decades, but lets keep this sane). Membership site rebills are usually measured in months which is just not worth it imho.

other options for mrr include working with SEO and rep management companies.

    • djleon1 - I, unsurprisingly use many of the types of recurring affiliate programmes that have already been mentioned. Examples being

      Aweber - autoresponder
      GetResponse - autoresponder
      JustHost - Web hosting

In addition to the 'infrastructure' type programmes I think the key is finding a quality product for a price point that makes it more of a hassle to cancel than to continue. This obviously means that you don't make much per customer per month, but, they do stick AND it is relatively easy to get them to take the offer in the firstplace.

For examle quality newsletters (and I'm thinking that this is going to work in any niche), that provide good info every month for a price point of less than $10.

As talfighel pointed out earlier it is all in the numbers, it can soon start adding up .

I hope he doesn't mind, but I had some one pm this offer to me, which I thought I would share (I have not checked this out, or do not yet(!!) promote it myself, but I thought it might be useful to list)

Not most but still a good percentage.

      Currently the E-business & E-marketing category has 2203 products.

      Of these 614 are recurring.

If we can stroll outside the IM domain for just a moment, the one I think has astonishing potential for recurring income enthusiasts is forex trading. CPA potential aside, many forex affiliate programs will toss you a commission for every single trade your referral makes. People who scalp the forex (and I do this myself) can make between ten to 30 trades in a single day. Get a few active traders on your books and it's a lovely little recurring income business.

      Definitely MIR

But besides that, creating your own newsletter for micro-continuity works very well, if it does well enough, you can always get others to promote it for you.

What about high ticket affiliate programs?

What are your thoughts on these?

I have to agree with what others have said here. Hosting and autoresponders are a pretty safe bet to retain customers. Payouts are not that high but they can add up quite quickly
