How do I increase opt in rates for my site?

Hello warriors

I'm fishing for opinions here on how I can improve my Opt-in rates outside the IM niche.

The traffic I receive is red hot traffic and people who are already interested in buying product X ( It is a Clickbank product in the weight loss niche in case your wondering)

Anyways It's been 3 days now since I installed a webform to collect emails, I got about 25 hops and 2 sales but zero opt ins so far. I'm not sure why. (everything is working fine, i tested my opt in forms and they work just fine.

I'm also no newbie when it comes to list building but this is something I can't explain.

I feel as if the visitors that land on my site are just interested in buying product X and not optin in at all. How do you collect emails from ready to buy customers or potential customers? Any idea what will entice them to Opt in?

I tried giving ebooks, full reviews of product x and even bonuses.. No results, well at least not yet but at 20 hops with zero opt ins that is horrible.

I'd appreciate any advice and feedback guys

My initial guess would be that you've found a source of people who just want to buy - what seems like the holy grail for a lot of affiliate marketers.

You've also put together a landing page that funnels people to the vendor effectively, although you didn't say how many visitors it took to get those 20 hops.

They aren't noticing your opt-in form, because joining a list and getting some random freebie or a review of a product they've already decided they want isn't where they are in the process.

If you want to build a list, you might want to set up a separate landing page and test traffic sources that aren't quite so "red hot"...

I didnt really find any "special" traffic source , they found my site by searching for the product, these are people already interested in the product and probably buying, either potential buyer.

I got about 50-ish visitors with 20 plus hops

I think I'll take your advice and create a saparate landing page

I need some ideas for this incentive, currently out of the 100 plus visitors I only got 2 Opt ins. Terrible poor results really.

So you have an opt-in somewhere other than where the product is?

That right there could be your issue. Let me give you an example -

If i had a squeeze page to capture email and name and build a list with a nice "How to XXXXX" offer, but right below that I had something that said "click here to download" do you think many people would opt-in for what they can just click on? Probably not

You should have an opt-in BEFORE your offer (or on your blog somewhere after a great relative post) and have the offer as an upsell or something.

Just some quick thoughts hope it helps
Thank you, that could be the problem I have a review of product x and then followed by an opt in form at the bottom of the review for Bonuses + ebooks+ . (stuff VERY related to the product) But i think my visitors just arent bothered with the opt-in offer.

My lander does both. My initial thought was to get people to buy produt X and take advantage of my bonus offers when they use my links.

But i think i would really just change my landing page to get visitors to first opt in before they see the offer. (i'll probably test this tonight)

I made a healthy amount of sales for this product alone and although I offer bonuses for people who used my aff link NONE even requested for the bonus. I'm still testing a few things and It still early to tell what works but so far in 7 days.. only 2 Opt ins!?

Here i was thinking Id get about 50% + opt in rates with my super cool offers. lol .

I'm going to set up a PPC campaign too for better tracking purposes and maybe comeback here and post my results

Sometimes a pattern interrupt can help such as a video pop up with a compelling offer.

If they are ready to buy then the incentive to subscribe to a list is not there as mentioned by non vegetarian John unless your offer is relevant to where they are in the marketing process and compelling.

If you put a link to your site I am happy to look over it and see if there is anything that I can glean from it from a visitors perspective.

If you're getting that good of a % to buy then let them buy.
Figure out how in the process you can get the buyers to opt in after the sale.

But you may wish to consider finding other sources of traffic that are in the same niche and driving them to your squeeze page offer then to the sales page.

I wouldn't complain about what's happening there I would just set up other traffic sources and funnels.

But either way keep finding ways to build your list!

    Firstly, I'm not clear.....

......Are you offering any 'free' thing in exchange for the prospect giving you their email address?

You don't say that specifically, except to say this..."I tried giving ebooks, full reviews of product x and even bonuses.. No results"

For my own insight, for you entice people to opt in you need to have a compelling video that will generate a big excitement to your visitor. Make it very interesting and educate them I'm with your video they will definitely opt in.

    Hope it helps.

If they're ready to buy it might make more sense to
      create your own product.

Why give such a high quality lead away when you
can make 100% of the sale and then follow up with
      more higher end products?

After they've purchased your product from you
you'll have their contact details you can follow up
      with.

      Kindest regards,

How do you add an exit pop up that will redirect your traffic to a new page on wordpress squeeze page,do i have to add the code on css stylesheet or is there any easier way to do that?

It could be the traffic..let them flow for a few more days and you could conclude better...There are times where buyer did not wish to opt in and its normal

By the way, where do you drive your traffic to?

    A squeeze page? A blog?

You need to split test to find the best methods. Generate some traffic through solo ads and find some way to track when and where the visit's click before they leave.

Make sure that your optin box is above the fold.

Make sure that your headline is really powerful.

Make sure that your freebie gives real value.

Make sure to have only one offer and that it's visible enough and easy to understand.
