I would write separate pieces of content. Come on dont be lazy. At least write a 300-word press release and submit it to the press release sites.

With the recent Google Penguin update, it is now strongly advised you use several contents with 100% unique and valuable content for each. Otherwise, your website may be penalized if you use the same article for submission on thousand of articles or press release sites.

You should not use if because of the current algorithm of the giant search engine Google. If you want to do so, I think you can spin it before submitting to somewhere others.

Write unique and genuine content for marketing now...!! As most of the big article websites and PR sites don't accept the article if it has been published anywhere else

A press release is entirely different than an article. It is written in a different manner.

Get a press release written if you don't know how to format one or research it online.

A Press Release is important media articles that specifically inform the media/press on a new service/product your website/company is launching. There is a certain style of writing to be used. Which is why press release writing cost much more than content writing.

As for articles, the writer can impose personal style of writing, formal or informal, informative or entertaining. The key is to engage viewers to read more and visit your website/blogs/

The purpose of press release and article is primarily difference.

You can't do that. An article written in a different format, so basically it's not possible.

That said, I'm sure that you can find a way to combine both of them.

You can (especially if you use a paid press release service, because they'll circulate more-or-less whatever you pay them to circulate) but it isn't advisable at all.

Press releases serve a totally different purpose from articles, and are written for completely different people to read, under completely different circumstances.

That said, it may be possible to use some of the same "factual information" in the contents of each, albeit that it'll need to be presented in very different ways.

Best to set out to do each after forming a very clear understanding of the purposes and functions of each (hint: neither should be primarily "for off-page SEO"!).

Normally I would disagree, but recently, with some of the crap I've seen pass through a number of press release websites, I'm thinking you probably can.

Its amazing ....press releases should be raising awareness of something newsworthy. However in some cases I'm seeing crap on PR sites that read like regular crappy articles. Infact, Ive seen total rubbish published on prweb.com.

I mean, have a look at this rubbish

In any case, don't do it.

Publish a high quality press release, written in the third person, by a professional and use a quality service. Keep your regular articles elsewhere.

By the way, press releases are becoming less and less beneficial from an SEO standpoint - so if that's what you're thinking ....forget it.

        Hi,

Something that so many people neglect when it comes to a press release is the notion that your release should be 'newsworthy'.

Like the poster above me points out, there are so many reasons why that restaurant release is rubbish. One of these is that it's not really a news story. Link your story to something that's topical at the moment, something that's grabbing headlines. Even if your aim is increased SEO rankings, aim to produce something that news outlets would have a genuine interest in.

As it's already been pointed out, writing an article and writing a press release are wholly different activities.

        Good luck!

        Ruth
