Creating a One-Time Offer Ideas Needed...

Warriors, I'm about to launch a new physical product, but want to add a digital OTO after they click the order button. Is there a good way to do this manually? How can I set this up?

I know if I was using 1SC I could, but I'm not using it due to the costs for now.

I also don't want the OTO to be too pushy, just a simple..."Hey, before you order, I want to make this OTO to you while you wait the delivery of your product, etc.". And make it easy for them to add it or decline it.

Ideas or thoughts of how I could do this?

    One more question...

Should I offer the upsell or OTO BEFORE they checkout (the "do you want fries with that?" format) or AFTER they checkout (put offer on the "thank you" page or autoresponder follow up)?

I usually let them make the order then they get a email to the download link. Once there thet see the oto before they can get to the product they bought. If you make the upsell first then you risk them backing out of the whole thing so don't risk the front end sell cause you can lose them for good.

I would have to agree with this. Put the OTO as the Paypal Redirect.
You have a guaranteed sale already and credit card is in hand!
You can then re-affirm the offer in a follow up email or on the download or membership page.

In my book an OTO should really be a TTO.

The beauty of this is everyone knows if they change their mind they can just click the access purchase link and see the OTO again...

This gives a few bites of the cherry without being overly pushy -

I may attempt to setup a A/B split test on this and see. Might be a bit tricky.

        It will be like this

Index A --> Upsell Offer (yes or no option) --> Order Form --> Appropriate Thank You Page

Index B --> Order Form --> Thank You Page plus OTO

You never know until you test. A lot will depend on the product and the OTO.

I would think it is best to get them while they are in the buying mood, with the card out. If you get them after the sale, they have to enter in all the info again. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is the way I'm seeing it.

I'm thinking of just setting up a "middle" page before the final order page where they are given two order options...to add the upsell offer or to decline and just continue to order the main product.

You can do all of that through Aweber very easily. In my opinion you would only offer the OTO after the sale. Otherwise you will lose a percentage of your sales.

Then, 100% you need to be building a list and you need to do it the right way.

I'd be curious if anyone has split tested this and the results
