Services to offer in the warriors for hire section?

I see that there is a $20 charge to put up an ad in the warriors for hire section. I want to be sure that the service I offer is something that people need so I'm not wasting 20 bucks by putting up an ad for something that people won't buy. My question is:

What services do warriors need that someone with no IM experience and no web design experience could provide?

I have basic wordpress template web design experience, but it's not something I'm confident enough with to charge for. What other options are there that aren't already saturated? Once I have a few good ideas, I will post my ad.

What other skills do you have? I am a writer and proofreader for example and run an ad there that I change now and then. Every time I pay to bump it up I pick up more work so it is definitely a worthwhile investment.

If you don't believe you want to do that yet, build your experience by offering gigs on fiverr and also check out bidding sites where you may have to work for low rates but can build experience.

I hope that all makes sense. Let me know if you need more info.

None... If you have no IM skills then it is highly unlikely that you can offer something which isn't saturated. Heck most of the stuff in their is saturated anyway, its the reputation which brings you repeat and new customers.

Your two choices are 1) specialized skills that clients don't know how to do for themselves.
    2) tedious work that clients will pay you to do so they don't have to do
    themselves.

Figure out which one you can offer and pick one.

    Good luck,

    Hey there,

Wordpress help is always appreciated. If you know how to set up a Wordpress blog-- not talking about specific design and graphics here-- but the actual setting up, I guess that's a good start!

Any techi stuff is good! There are many technophobiacs around lol!

Writing, proofreading etc! Brainstorm ideas, I am sure you'll find "hidden" skills!!

    Good luck!

Don't try to compete with skills you don't have or aren't very good at. It will only backfire on you. Offer something that you know you can do well. You might consider virtual assistant which is a catch all category of skills and tasks that people need help with. It's basically taking things off their hands that are time consuming and that they need to outsource.

You could offer tax help. You could probably consult warriors on how to file their Schedule C (or whatever) taxes this upcoming tax season.

That would probably sell, lol. If I don't understand something on a
form, I usually just leave it blank (kidding.)

You can rewrite low-cost but high quality services you find elsewhere. Invest in good sales copy and get clients. You keep the difference between what you pay your back-end provider and what you get from your clients. If you don't have the skills or productivity, be a middleman.

Why not start with free service like Fiverr before you
risk the $20 post? Then you can gauge what is
working and upgrade to the WFH section.

You can sometimes tell from the popularity of the
thread themselves which offers are doing well.

But advertising always has in a certain risk that you
would not make back your money. That's part
of the testing and learning game.

I posted a thread for my writing service in that section and I have been getting work almost everyday. People will always need good content. If you can provide them with good content you can make a lot of money.

Honestly, if you can set up WordPress, write an article, proofread or handle data entry, chances are you will get some work. I bump my ghostwriting thread regularly and I almost always get new leads because of it.

Be genuine, offer something that you're legitimately good at and enjoy doing, write up a few details about your offer and then see what happens.

I would recommend starting with a budget of $60 though, especially if what you're selling will earn that money back from a single client. It seems obvious, but remember that cheaper prices get more clients while heavier prices get fewer-but-more-legitimate ones. Don't be afraid to price yourself above the "going-rate".

For example, I get almost all of my clients through WarriorForum even though I'm completely surrounded by penny-per-word writers. People choose to pay me more than that because my writing and my customer service is superior.

Choose what you want to focus on and perfect your craft. Finding someone to pay you for it is the easy part.

Tons of great replies in this thread. Thanks, everyone!

I'll do my research and see what area I could produce good work in. Writing or content creation could be an option for me, or proofreading, although that is very tedious. I suppose I could also set up wordpress blogs, but I'm not 100% comfortable with that yet. I've set up a few but could use a little more practice.

You might get some work with your simple skills.. Some people won't do that kind of work if they know someone else will for $20 or so..

Now one thing i will tell you is you have to treat this business like a business so you can not be scared to invest $20..

Obviously put together a good offer but lose your fear..

    Alright man good luck

Just make sure your service rocks!

Many types can do well if you are dominating the niche and differentiate yourself.

SEO stuff used to be big, not as much anymore, but there are probably still some things you could do if have some SEO software and it's a useful service.

    just one idea...

There are so many services you can offer!

Think about whatever you are good at and that would be in demand. Are you good at producing content, graphic design, programming, SEO, the list goes on...

Just do something you're good at and don't hate doing OR outsource different tasks.
