IPN script for email after payment - where to get one?

I want to send an automatic email with downloads after a customer makes a purchase with PayPal. It seems that you can do this with an IPN script. I haven't found an easily adaptable one - all seem to require a degree of coding skill.

Anyone know where I can get a suitable script - or have I misunderstood how it works?

    if so you can set it up to work with paypal ipn
