Authority Sites:What Are The Signs

Hey people i just wanted to know if there is signs about your site thats letting you know that your becoming an authority..i build this spanish news blog about 4 months ago and im recieving about 700+ unique visitors a day..plus everytime i publish a post it grts indexed on the first page of google wothin minutes..im using SEOquake to track my blog and i know that pagerank update hasnt ocurred yet so its still in 0 but alexa rank numbers are going down pretty fast..i started in 11 million and im in 7 million and drops everyday i.check..i was wondering if does are signs that my blog is becoming.authority..ohh yeah and i made 2 sales from clickbank affiliate products and a few dollars with bidvertiser since google banned me last year!!.

  • Looks like good progress but authority is something else.

    You would get an authority listing in Google
    (the one with different pages listed) and
    your Alexa rank would be less than 10k.

  • There is such a domain authority metric given by SeoMoz. That is one measurement. You need a couple of years and tons of content that is unique.

    • ok..so i need years in order to become authority?..ive seen sites that become authority in months..why would you need years..if your content is original and your offering new stuff why would you need years??..i mean if google is indexing me within minutes on the first page i think years is to much..thats just my thought..but.thanx for.the.insight!!
  • i just needed insight on people that have authority sites to give me some info on what im witnessing..and if im on the correct track on building a authority site and if they witness what im witnessing right now with my blog only 4 months old(sorry about my spelling)
  • of course those are signs, and good signs. but you still have a long way to go before you can say thats exemplary. read more on forums and follow guidelines and dont forget it so you would be on the right track.

    • It seems like you're definitely on the right track! I've never had an article posted within minutes! Google seems to love your content. If you're getting a good amount of traffic, low bounce rates, I would think you are getting there.

  • You can tell that you are an authority site when a reasonable number of respected sites start linking to your content. I have a site that college professors and librarians have linked to. When I saw that, I knew I was on course.

  • Awesome!! thats what i was looking for im going to keep up the track that im doing because i believe having an authority site is the real Secret to having success online for a real long time..not just chasing every shiny object that appears in your face..Cheers!!
  • You are on the right track to achieving authority level. Continue posting high quality content, building backlinks to your blog posts, and building an email list and you will see great results very soon. When other sites begin linking to you, that's when you know your site has become an authority site.

    • thank you!..ive never did any kind of backlinking still im getting ALOT of love from google..maybe links will come on its own..thats what im thinking!..cheers!!
