I Need Help With A WordPress Database Error

Last night I attempted to publish a new post to my blog which uses WordPress. The post didn't publish and I got the following error message:

WordPress database error: [Can't open file: 'wp_posts.MYI'. (errno: 145)]

Whatever happened, it seems to have corrupted my wp_post file because now none of my content is viewable. The home page is filled with error messages as seen here - The Auction Rebel|One Persons Thoughts About Making Money On eBay

I'm a long ways from knowing my way around WordPress, so any ideas or help relating to how to go about fixing this would be much appreciated.

Don't know if it'll help you, but you might find a solution here:

      Hi Suzanne,

I actually did that last night and they suggest logging into your server and repairing the database using phpMyAdmin. I attempted to do that, but I can't get into my post_table because I get the very same error message when I try.

I have had similar issues in the past, due to the fact that i do a ton of experimenting, but you can fix this pretty easily.

When ever I do screw up something in the database I simply call my host and have them restore the db to the prior day, or when it was last working.

Works like a charm and only costs like 10 bucks.

I was going to recommend restoring a backup if they had one... but that works a lot better. I didn't know the hosts would do this. Good to know.

You should change hosts ... my host does it for free.

Either of you care to elaborate on which hosts you are using?

@Gary: Did you try Shannon's suggestion? Contacting the host...

I use imountain.com (no affiliation whatsover ) - they have been more than solid so far.
I have tried globat, hostgator, slicehost, bluehost, jaguarhost and none of them compare to imountain in personal service or performance ( smaller company so it takes care of it's customers ).

Maybe some plugin you activated has created the error. Try deactivating the plugins one at a time and refreshing your blog page each time to find out the culprit.

It has happened to me a few times.
