And more importantly, how would you find a high quality writer besides not Filipinos or Indians.

Agree with Ross. Plenty of top notch writers can be found in the "Warriors for Hire" section here. Another option is to ask around. Check with other websites in your niche and ask for any referrals they may have.

Look at sig files, and if you see an advert for a writer, start reviewing their posts here in the forum.

This will enable you to find writers quickly, and make a determination as to their writing skills, before you hire them for that test job.

On the test job, ask them to write 1-3 articles, before making a long-term commitment to working with them.

Once they have proven themselves worthy, then do what you need to do to keep them at your disposal.

    Be smart.
Use the top-notch articles for your own website. Can range from $20- $30..
If you can using them for articles marketing, you should be only paying around $8 - $12 max, you can find good ones in WF or even elance.

The tip is to test on small quantity.
If you find the articles great, try to secure long term services. These are gems.

There are lots of us in the Warriors For Hire section. If you check warriors out, at least you have a way of learning more. You want quality, not to focus solely on cost which it sounds like you already know.

So at $30 a pop, say I have 10 high quality article content on my site ($300) what does that get me? A site that's ready for prime time? Should be promoted and start banking?

I saw a WSO from Dr. Bruce Hoag PhD - I know him (follow me on LinkedIn to his profile) and have read his stuff. If you want something now's a good time because he's establishing a new sideline business and has given good pricing for Warriors.

$10 sounds reasonable to me. There are alot of members on this forum who can deliver some high quality articles for you. You can find them in "Warriors for Hire", or simply contact the best candidates individually. You can't really do much off of $5 per article. You might wind up getting a poor grammar article that sounds like sentences were copied and pasted together.

It depends. But for a high quality article don't expect to spend less that $20.
