I believe in charity begins from home so if I can succeed to help my family & friends with my online income I would be more than happy.

I donate 2.5% of my net income to charities every month,,,, this is a promise I made to myself. I know its not much but at least it will help somehow.

how much of the money given to charity actually ends up in the good courses.

for example about 15 years ago they were rasing millions to get clean water systems in africa. now 15 years on they still asking for millins to do the same job. its obvious the money given isnt getting to the cause otherwise the same caampaigns we see wouldnt still need the money

Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) said that Donation should be such that even your left hand will not know what you donate through right hand.
So, everyone should donate to the people who need it and this is not a matter of disclosing, declaring. When I donate, I get pleasure of mind and thats enough for me.

I do agree 100% that donations and charities should not be declared but on the other hand I personally think it might be worth to declare them sometime to encourage others to do the same.

As you can see some of the above statements, some people don't believe on giving out charities, so by disclosing your one, it might encourage others to do the same.
