Recurring payments with Paypal

Is there a way to manually set up someone with recurring payments using Paypal? I have a customer who's going to be using me to host his website and I want to charge him monthly. But instead of sending him invoices and waiting to get paid, or manually entering his credit card number with our credit card processor, I'd like his payments to happen automatically through Paypal.

So is there a way for me to use Paypal to get his payment sent to me automatically each month?

You can set up subscription buttons as well, and just send them an email with the button, and have them subscribe..

Yes, you can create a subscription in the Merchant Services area of your PayPal account. It works great for monthly billing. We've had hundreds of people over the years on these without 1 problem.

Thanks. I knew about being able to set up subscriptions within Paypal, but I thought that would have to be set up on a webpage or something. I didn't know you could email someone a Paypal button to sign up for subscription payments.

I'll have to check that out.

When you create the button, check the right above the code to the right, and there will be your email link...

Thanks for the description Alex, I appreciate you taking the time making the screen shot.

As far as Paypal banning people, that can be a concern. I also have a Google Checkout account. Do they do recurring payments? I haven't used Google checkout for anything yet.

Start with Pay Pal then once you get enough profit rolling in switch to a merchant account.

Less fee and always remember Pay Pal can bann you account in a blink of an eye.

You could lose your merchant account too, but they tend to be a lot of less strick than Pay Pal.

Simply send your client a subscription button and he will automatically be billed every month for the price that you designate.

Hey guys, what if I want to charge my buyer a fixed amount first and then automatically bill them every month a certain amount? I can't find how to do this on PayPal. Could someone advise?

      Much thanks in advance.

      Mike.
