If this is your first site - don't do it unless you know someone who can manage the site for you after you buy it.

      Thanks Jill,

some provides service to manage the sites as well. Is this sort of thing worth investing in?

      Thanks

If you mean wordpress installations that you install on your domain, I bought them early on, when I started online.

Only guarantee there is you save some time having the structure of the site established, you still need to edit the content and promote the site.

Its not as turnkey as it might suggest.

Or do you mean "done for you" like a flippa listing where the traffic/sales are documented?

      Hi Ochaim,

Yes i agree installation is not easy as it seem.

Sorry should have a bit clear, what I had in mind was like those under Complete websites for sale section under the Warrior Forum.

      Thanks.

It should be fine, just be careful. Any site that guarantees income can be a bit shady if the traffic doesn't line up with the earnings. Do your due diligence.

Jivens is absolutely right, any income guarantee is kinda weird.

I don't really see those website sellers providing much ongoing maintenace for you.

Its up to you to build on top of and promote it. It provides a bit of a head start.

Stay away from any that guarantee income. I've seen lots of people who feel ripped off because they bought the done for you sites with income claims and of course, there's no income. Buy a site because of convenience of having it done for you and you like the looks and theme, etc, but not because of an income claim.

This. If those sites really did generate that much money would they be selling it? That's the question you always need to ask whenever you are interested in buying a website online.

Income guarantees aren't necessarily bad. I offer guarantees on my sites. That said, I don't offer outlandish "make $5000 this week" guarantees either.

Just use your common sense when purchasing websites. When considering such sites, just ask yourself one question:

Does it make financial sense for the seller to be selling this site?

If you are considering a website that has 100 pages of "unique" high-CPC content that "easily" ranks on page one of Google, ask yourself why someone would be selling it for $49.....

Always remember - If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Exactly. If it is too good to be true... Well, you know how the saying goes.

My take on this is that if you do buy a site make sure that you take a look at their demo site and make sure it is a quality looking site. Check out what people are saying about their support, you need to have any questions answered promptly. Once you've got the site spend the next few days getting to know it, how to tweak the theme, adding your own personal touch to any articles written, adding your own articles etc.

Thanks. I agree that income claims may sound too good to be true. They somehow manage to get good feedbacks although i am not too sure if they are legit.

Thanks! Good to hear that it works. Probably hardest part is to find the right person to buy from.

Remember there are no guarantees in life. I would stay clear of anyone guarantee you anything or claiming they will run the site for you. If they will why not do it and keep all the profits for themselves.

Know if your talking about a turnkey business niche blog, they can get you started as long as you pick a niche that you like, stick to a nice layout and theme for the blog.

Reason why i say pick a niche you like, cause adding content will be key. There are many short cuts you might take, but there is no real short cut to good content and good SEO practices.

Maybe people get Turnkey or "Done for you websites" confused with instant cash, or guarantee money. NO THAT IS NO TRUE.

All this means is the basic work is done for you, but there is a HUGE foundation that you need to have to make these type of websites work.

They are just a quicker step to get you started and also a nice way to add to a network of sites.

Then once you have a good foundation, building on them will be easier

Good Luck with which ever way you go

About Done-For-You websites, I've always thought there's actually no service which do as they say. Because they promise a lot of stuffs and profits but later on we hardly see any.

But in about a month, I'm trying Kelly's DFY service and I think they are the only ones that you can place your trust on.

I think for beginners it is better to pick up the important Internet Marketing skills yourself instead of choosing the easy way out by buying done for you website. You need to learn how to set up the website, how and where to place the affiliate links and google adsense, how to backlink your sites for SEO purpose and how to promote your site through PPC or social media traffic. Search the Warrior Forum if you have any problem along the way. There are tons of information here.

The process would be fun and meaningful as you learn from your mistakes rather than throwing money away by buying websites and not learning anything. There is really no such thing as guaranteed profit.

There is nothing wrong about done for you website. But, the believe and the profit guarantee should not be considered. Done for website is good not only for newbie but also for veteran. The process of creating, customizing, designing, and developing a better one site from scratch is a pain even I can do them by myself. Sometime those process prevent us from taking any further action because it's frustrating and confusing for someone who just jump in. Even most warriors said that content is king backlink is queen, but what if we got stuck at the initial process of creating and setting up a new site.

For something like $70-$100 for a custom designed site from scratch, it's not expensive comparing to the time and effort if we create it ourselves.

If we are good enough to know about IM, we should already knew that there is no income guarantee for any IM services unless we take it seriously by ourselves.

      Hi John,

      Sorry to hear that.

Did you only buy the website or those that come with backlinking and SEO services?

      Thanks.

      John....

Sorry to hear that. Whenever you see those "done for you" websites that do nothing but scrape content, you have to ask yourself why the seller would sell it if it was making money and is auto-pilot. Why would someone sell a website that's making $100's/month with NO WORK for $49? The answer is: they wouldn't.

That said, not all "guaranteed" sites are bad. I sell websites with an earnings guarantee. However, they are not COMPLETE sites with scraped content. They are sites that I expect the client to put work into. If they don't make a certain amount within a certain time frame, I buy the site from them.

The difference between my "real" guarantee and those of "make $1000s per month" is that my guarantees are attainable and realistic and expect the client to do work. So, that said, there are some "guaranteed" sites that are good. I just want to be sure that my kinds of guarantee aren't lumped in with the rest of the bogus ones.

        Hi Tom,

Yes, I guess you are right that if they wouldn't sell a site which is making money for them.

        Do you still sell sites?

        thanks.

The only time that it makes sense for someone to be selling a site that is currently making money is when they are selling it for some multiple of monthly revenue. These 1000-page, scraped Amazon sites don't make NEARLY the money that is claimed. it truly is "caveat emptor".

No one can guarantee the success of a website in my opinion. However if you are looking for someone to build you a site and I am assuming it is an Amazon site or a site promoting a product as an affiliate.

I would suggest to look for unique content and get some examples of sites that they have done before.

If you are just getting software churned sites this will not help in SEO terms.
