    Wow, that's a big question!

Well, short of giving the A-Z of online marketing, you might consider these steps:

    1. Make some short videos (preferably 5 minutes or less) of you making some of your recipes. You can grab a FLIP camera for $150 and edit your videos with simple software available free online.

    2. Put up a simple opt-in page with some of your video content and offer valuable training to people using articles and videos they can subscribe to for free.

    3. Build a sequence of autoresponder emails (let's say 20 or so, coming every 3 days) that give valuable training. You can use every 4th email or so to tactfully put your membership site in front of them.

Of course, there are lots of other strategies too. Here's something very important to consider, though. Your success depends on mastering marketing, not creating the content. You know how to do the cooking already!

Fastest way to master online marketing in my opinion is to get into an automated online marketing system and use their systems and training for about 6 months. Believe me, you'll come out knowing how to make lots of money online. If you need any suggestions, feel free to PM me.

Good luck and I look forward to watching your videos and becoming a better cook myself

Most of the recipes are online in all languages so unless you have "secret" recipes from the chefs top cupboard scrapbook -usually they change quantities, produce brands and the cooking methods of standard recipes or they have "signature dishes" and if you can get hold of these you might stand a chance. Or as you say, maybe you have an undiscovered trove of Mayan Temple recipes which reinvent chocolate. I dunno. Go for niche recipes maybe. Post on foodie forums, email sales letters to culinary schools, canvass the suppliers of the types of food ingredients that your recipes conjure and make your site known and then hit them for sponsorship of a forum. Try and get subscriber lists from offline foodie magazines. Write articles promoting your Foodie Forum and get them in the right places. Make your recipes a scarcity. Create curiosity. Foodies love new things. There's always a niche to exploit.

  • That is a tuff niche. You are planning on monetizing a niche that is saturated by tons of free info...more free info than there is paid.

The real question you need to be asking is "Why would people be willing to pay for my recipes, when they can get tons of recipe ideas for free...and they know they they can?"

Answer that question, and you have the headline to your sales letter.

Create your profile on Recipes / Copy Cat Recipes / Desserts at CDKitchen and other sites just like it. Participate in that community a little bit to bring attention to your membership site by sharing some of your info.

Basically, like any other website, you want to drive traffic to the membership site, write articles, build backlinks, make some videos, etc.

    Hi, Mark,
My opinion is to find a honest, genuine, successful Online Mentor with great membership site, then learn from him or her. Don't you agree ?
