I market a product directly to chiropractors. It is a newsletter service that they have total PLR to. They can use these newsletters in any way they choose - email it, print it and send it, add the articles to their sites, etc.

I am trying to increase my subscriber base and have had great success with email so far. The problem is that it is taking a very, very long time as I have to find chiropractic websites and use their contact forms to contact them.

It is a numbers game so of course it takes a long time to reach a reasonable number of doctors to get a conversion.

Does anyone know of legitimate double optin email lists for sale (or any company that may sell that type of list)?

Thanks

Do not buy email lists or you'll probably lose your autoresponder and email account for spam complaints.

agreed. DO NOT buy an email list. Set up a nice funnel, and start driving targeted traffic to it. Buying email lists usually leads to problems, like described above.

Thanks for this reminder. As I am new to IM, it's too easy to look for shortcuts to get the business launched faster. However, these "quick and dirty" ways such as buying a list can backfire.

      I like your posts.

You are looking for double optin lists that targets chiropractors. That's what will make it a very pricey proposition. There are cheaper alternatives: scrapers who just scrape directory lists or scan offline professional directory. Much of that information will probably be stale and you might get a lot of heat from people who don't take too kindly to having their email scraped.

Your best bet would be to contact professional organizations and try to get a sponsorship or other 'semi-official' way to get in front of your target audience's eyeballs.

    Hi

You can find lists in different niches that sell solo ads at Nextmark (this is "chiropractor"):

462 chiropractor mailing lists - Mailing List Finder

Research the lists, see how the leads are gathered. Some are built by scraping the Internet/Yellowpages, some are from opt-ins.

I would recommend sending any paid traffic to a squeeze page. Offer a free ebook on how to retain customers, build relationships and explode their business, etc.

Offer an ebook that talks about the importance of repeat customers, engaging their customers and building themselves as an authority in the market. Pump the value of a newsletter in the ebook and link to your sales page.

Use the follow up responder series to promote your newsletter and offer tips on how to use it.

Better to capture leads with this kind of paid traffic rather than sell directly.

I'm glad email is working for you. Have you tried Linked In? You can contact people there too but you can also post your "free ebook" with a link to the squeeze page. You can post in groups and in your profile feed.

There are quite a few chiropractor marketing and business groups on linked in.

It would just be easy to build it yourself from nothing. You could just throw up a optin list on your website if you are not doing it yet. Drive targeted traffic to it and it is going to take some time for you to build your list anyway. The important thing is to start right now! Hope this helps!

My suggestion would be to create a landing page with an opt-in form and run some Facebook Ads. You can get pretty targeted there, including interest and location.

Really take the time to put together a nice funnel. There is plenty of training out there on how to use Facebook Ads successfully. Even a small $50-$100 test can bring back a solid return depending on your funnel.

Plus, this way you're building a permission based email list and only communicate with people who want to be communicated with.

    Very dangerous!

Do not buy email lists. You will most likely get your account suspended with complaints from the recipients.

Take the time to build your email list the right way and you will see a much higher revenue stream and much safer method.

I never recommend buying an email list.

Unless you can find someone who has a list already of these doctors. Then you can ask if you can send out a broadcast using their list for a fee. Email them and ask. By the way, these are called solo ads and some list owners allow this.

Do a Google Search for HeadStrong Media.

They won't sell you a list. They will email to their own opt-in list on your behalf. I've never used them, just read about them, so conduct your own due diligence!

As has been mentioned above.....send ALL traffic to a squeeze page & make sure you have your follow up emails lined up & ready to go before you start buying traffic of any kind.

    Hope that helps,
    Ed

There really is nothing wrong with buying a contact list.

If you want to send a post card to every dentist in Omaha it is not unethical or illegal to buy a list of publicly available addresses for dentists and sending them post cards. These addresses can come from dentist magazines, yellow page type listings, dentist directories, etc.

Similarly, there is nothing wrong with buying a list like that which includes emails.

There is nothing wrong with sending an unsolicited email providing it complies with anti-spam laws.

That is why, if you buy or rent a list, it is best to send traffic to a squeeze page so you can capture addresses into your own list. Large purchased lists are often unresponsive so you want to capture any potential leads that do respond.

Large fortune 500 companies and marketing firms do this all the time. Magazines sell their targeted subscriber lists.

Before the Internet, I used to subscribe to comics and magazines. Sometimes I would use a random middle initial. Then over time I would receive a lot of junk mail and unsolicited offers in the mail addressed to me with that middle initial. Magazines sell their subscriber lists to list clearing houses who then market targeted segments to other advertisers. This practice has been going on forever.

What is not acceptable is buying lists and repeatedly emailing them in violation of anti-spam laws. It doesn't matter if you bought the list or or built yourself. You cannot spam them with repeated emails that do not comply with anti-spam legislation such as not identifying the sender or providing an opt-out or more information option.

But simply paying for a list of leads is not illegal or unethical.

Warriors do this all the time. Set up a site called kansasroofers.com and then sell the collected contact information from opt-ins to local roofers.

    Buy an email list?
Those words always make me apprehensive and gives me chills. Nowadays you can buy 35 million emails for only $19.99

Stay away from buying them, you will just get ripped off. Nobody in their right mind is going to sell you a list that works..

Alternatively, you can hire a cheap outsourced VA to use the Internet to find Chiropractic associations. Get a hold of them and buy a cheap ad on their mailers.

I tried to buy email list it didn't turned out well. It's best to hire someone and collect it for you in that way you get a good list and save more bucks than buying them and end up with bad results.

Umm sorry if I'm a kill joy but isn't it a total waste of time buying email lists? People aren't dumb, they're going to know if they get an email from a company they've never heard of it's going to be a spam email surely?!

Exactly. Stay away from harvested lists. You have to know how the list was gathered.
