Need advice About Landing Pages

Hi all,

Hoping for some advice about landing pages.

I have found a product that I wish to promote.I want to create a landing page on Blogger. (Just starting-my first step)

The product that I want to promote has 4 different landing pages that an affiliate can use. Does anyone typically use the given landing pages for a product or create your own?

Is there a way to copy the html in to blogger or should I create the page a different way?

Please be gentle I'm a newbie trying to take action.

Deanna

I do not have a lot of experience, but am too starting in affiliate marketing. As far this goes, I have just used the landing page they give you because I do not know how to create another one.

What I do know is that maybe you should think of using wordpress instead of blogger. I switched to wordpress a few days ago and has many more options and looks more professional than blogger.

    Hope I helped.

      Hi J,

Thanks for your reply. I will be posting on wordpress too.I started a new program(for me) that I am trying to follow. My first step after keyword research is building a landing page on blogger-so that is what I am attempting to do.

I've only done blogging w/adsense, so never really done product promotion, therein lies my confusion.

If anyone has tips on how to build a landing page in blogger -I would appreciate the advice.

I am not real versed in Blogger, but if you are just starting out and selling affiliate programs, always be sure that you are building YOUR list. Get an autoresponder and be sure your landing page is filling your autoresponder with leads.

If you just use a landing page of someone elses they may be having you load their list instead of your own.

        Just a thought,
        Tyson

Remember that when using wordpress to promote products or affiliate links, you will need a "self hosted" blog otherwise wordpress will close your blog down.

As for landing pages, I usually use the ones provided. If they are not appealing in anyway, I don't promote the product.

I usually create my own landing pages but if you are just starting out, then I suggest that you use the landing pages given until you learn.

If you decide on creating your own landing page then make sure that you follow these 2 important points:

Choose warm colors and the right text ( I like verdana) for the landing pages.
Make the landing page straight to the point. (some info about the product and a buy now button)

    Hope that helps

Deanna - what you have asked is not really a simple question. The design of effective affiliate landing pages tends to be fairly well hidden - this is the real unique advantage many affiliates have.

I like to use two types of landing pages -

    1. A review - where I focus on application of the product, case studies, proof that it works with a link to the product

    2. Benefit overview - usually I use benefits from the vendor's sales page and add in my own special sauce.

Why not ask your vendor if they've done any testing or had any feedback on which landing page works best? Then, try and make it a little better.

yeah typically you want to use their landing pages.

To put the landing page into your blog....simply open the landing page in your browser....go to view source...and copy the html.

Next go back to you blog..create a page...click on the html tab and then paste in all the html code you just copied. Done.
