Best Time To Use Pop-Up Opt-In?

Hello,

Getting ready to start a blog. As far as pop-up opt-in forms go, should use them right out the gate or should I wait?

What are the best practices for using a popup form (ex. Popup-Domination).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Definitely something worth split testing.

    Also depends (slightly) on your niche.

    For example, in the muscle building niche, I waited about 20 seconds to use PopUp Dom and even used that time as part of the pop up

    "You passed the 20 second test..."

    Yea I might have been missing on some subs here and there from not launching it right away, but in the end was happy with the results.

    I use pop up domination on the home page it seems to work well...but requires a lot nof testing to see best opt in rates...

    I tried running it on different settings for a week at a time and desided on the best option after analyzing opt ins.

    Testing and tweaking is the best way for you to learn the right times to display your popups. Generally speaking I like to wait about 24 seconds and allow my readers to read my site a bit. Then if they like the material on the site, well then of course they'd like to subscribe and receive updates.
