Hey I just had a quick question hoping someone could answer.

Does anyone happen to know any video software that doesn't lag with the audio/video sync for powerpoints that transition in and out of live presentations here's an example of a video:

Any help would be appreciated!

Part of it may be the software, while part of it may be the technique.

I don't import the PP presentation (Open Office Impress actually) directly into the editor such as Camatasia.

Instead, I record the audio in Audacity, then do a screen recording of the presentation. I open both in an editor and use the "split", "extend" and "cut" features of the editor to sync the video with the audio.

I've done that too, any other software besides Camtasia you recommend?

Camtasia seems to have a video/audio sync problem when you do that. It looks fine pre-production but when you produce the video its always off.

That's strange. Have you tried locking the audio with the video after you're done editing and before you render?

And does it happen when you render using different video formats?

You can try Vegas Studio. It has an inexpensive version that's very good and it has a 30 day trial so you can see before buying.

    nice video !
sorry but i don't agree with you about the emphaty concept . Introspection as nothing to do with beeing close to others or just caring to find happiness for yourself ,i think is more on discovering youself in a way that you can give out more to others.
sorry but english is not my mother language , but i got inside your speech .......we could discuss for a long time here on this subject.
I guess the advice above is the way to solve your " little" problem.
    take care inside out

This is a good software that I use...

Screencast-O-Matic - Free online screen recorder for instant screen capture video sharing.

I have a "pro" account. It also allows you to make videos with a web cam in the corner

    Cheers,
    Coby

Screensactomatic is a solid choice if you have a limited budget, however Easy Video Suite is a new option that appears to be great.

This should be capable with all video editing software, it's a pretty simple technique really. I'm an Apple user, so I've only got experience with Final Cut and iMovie, but it's quite simple in each of those. Sorry that I can't recommend any software for PC because I've only worked on Macs for about 6 years.

Easy Video Suite is pretty good, but I don't think it's worth $297.

Here is how I do it. If you are using microsoft office 2010, you could directly export the ppt as a video file. Export it as a video file before adding the voice over. Then I import the video into Corel video studio, where I add the voice over. There is no lag using this process. I occasionally create videos from infographics using this method. Check out the one which I created recently

The voice is a little rough and that's because of the mic. Other than that the process was smooth.

Have you tried the function in Powerpoint wherein you can insert audio and video? Then, there click Animation Pane under the Animations tab in order to adjust the timing of the two file to make them sync. Hope that helps.

This can be done in Camtasia. I would import the video into Camtasia and then I would take the slides and turn them into jpegs and import those too. I would slide the video down to the track and let it play. At the time when the slides needed to go in I would cut the video in that place, insert the slide, and then cut again after what was on the slide was done. It's very simple to do and there's no lag. It just takes a little patience putting the slides in the right spot.

If that's something you wanted me to do for you, I'd be glad to do it.
