Adding Subdomain to Domain

I have added a subdomain via my cpanel but now I don't know to do next. Is there something else I need to do in order make the subdomain appear on my site's WP editor?

    Have you installed the wordpress onto the sub domain? Go to fantastico and install it on your sub domain. So find yoursite.yoursite.com in the drop down box, install it and then your have to install a wordpress site onto the sub domain. Hope it helps.

    Example:
    after adding a folder inside your domain: (mydomain.com/subdomain), create a file inside a subdomain folder and have a htm or html extension. Name it as index.htm or home.htm and put whatever you want there:

    now you can view mydomain.com/subdomain

        example.com/something is NOT a subdomain, it is a subfolder!

        Subfolders are parts of the same site.
        Subdomains, on the other hand, are often seen by search engines as separate site (entities).

      You are talking about subfolders (see and learn the distinction above ^^).
