[Thoughts] Continuity Product $97-$497/month Idea?

A family member owns an investment services business (based in Ireland), and is interested in creating an information product empire, in particular a continuity based program $97-$497 (between that price-range). , built around his knowledge and the knowledge of his peers. Can it be done in the global sense?

Some of the things he offers in his business include

Maximising the Growth of your Assets
Sourcing Good investment Opportunities
Reducing the Cost of your Borrowings
Sourcing the most competitive Life and Disability Cover

Reducing your Tax Liabilities using Tax Shelters
Retirement Income Planning
Tax Efficient Transfer of Wealth to next Generation
Overall Financial Planning

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated

Absolutely worth trying on a global scale if they have great knowledge on the subject.

Wow you would have to go into to a lot more detail with someone about it. Making that type of thing happen is not easy and you will not get the answers you are looking for on a post.

There are so many things to take into consideration when doing something like that. More details would be really helpful : )

Just trying to guage which of the following

Maximising the Growth of your Assets
      Sourcing Good investment Opportunities
Reducing the Cost of your Borrowings
Sourcing the most competitive Life and Disability Cover

Reducing your Tax Liabilities using Tax Shelters
      Retirement Income Planning
Tax Efficient Transfer of Wealth to next Generation
      Overall Financial Planning

lends themselves to having a high-end continuity program built around - for a global audience...

      just brainstorming really :-)

I think if you are looking to do a high ticket continuity you might want to add all of them if not half of them for sure.

Exactly, 8 in-depth Core modules based on those topics, have to make sure with the uncle just how viable this is - though I'm pretty sure LOADS of people want to be knowledgable about these topics... without just leaving to an expert to do it all for them.

The kind of people who would get proper value from a membership at that price level are often interested in having someone (or multiple 'someones') do it all for them. Especially when considering the general nature of what you outlined, affluent people will pay for expertise and service.

If your family member truly is qualified to provide expert teaching at this level on a global scale, you might find better results aiming at expanding the skillset of the people serving the affluent. Or those that want to.

            Just some food for thought...

Great points John : ) I would say a training course or coaching program for people to provide this service would be a great way to go.

If they can produce tips such as stock tips and investment tips with proof that have earned people tens of thousands of dollars, then I suspect a continuity product for those prices is possible.

There are many stock pickers and economists who charge hundreds and even thousands each month for their opinions. As long as winners are picked consistently, and can prove it, they'll be able to charge a lot of money for that information.

In my view people are willing to pay more to make money than save money. I'd focus on information that makes money instead of saving ... even if wealth retention is more important than many people realize (for those that have wealth).
