Needed Help to Promote Ebook

I created an ebook last month. Now I'm not sure how do I promote and market it online.

I know of sending to my list. I posted on my Facebook Fanpage. I created a affiliate link with click2sell. But I know on my side, I need to do lots of marketing to have sales coming in.

PPC with google is costly. Any ideas are welcome.

What niche is your ebook in? Have you considered Twitter marketing? I am not talking about spamming Twitter but using Twitter as an 'interest base' for your ebook...

    Dear Skyjoe76

How about creating a YouTube video detailing the contents, necessity & relevance of your Ebook?

Videos can be made entertaining and of a high quality, all on a very low budget.

They are also very accessible for people who do not have the time or inclination to skim through many different web pages on a subject matter they need to research.

Finally what is the subject matter of the ebook, it might have a niche market or a specialist selling point, if no one has covered it before.

You could also search twitter and follow users who tweet about the subject matter of your book, you could also then start tweeting about your ebook and include a link to your website, presuming you have one set up.

    Good luck

The book is about detail planning for goals. In my coaching work, I discover many of my clients have no idea how to do planning for their goals. In the ebook, I share in detail a planning tool and how to use it with my own examples.

Find other marketers in your niche or related niches who have a large list of their own. They may have an optin form on the site or a popup when you leave the site.
Ask them if they will promote your book to their list with the click2sell affiliate link. Provide them with some copy for it.

Get banners made and place banner ads on related high traffic sites.

Do some guest posts on a related sites with a link back to your book in the author bio or in the body if allowed.

    Good luck with your promotion.

You can sell your ebook on download-bay, clickbank and amazon.
To promote your ebook you can use traffic exchangers, text ad exchangers, safelists, lists and search Free Pay-Per-Click Search Engines on google.

I didn't see anyone mention Clickbank. If you post your e-book there and it gets hot other affiliates can take it and sell it without you needing to do anything at all. They also provide a payment platform for your customers so all you really need to do is post your book and promote it.

Also, another strategy I have used is finding someone else in the niche and cross marketing. I know it sounds simple but you can market someone else's product on your site/blog/etc.. and they can do the same for you. Maybe one of your products will catch the eye of one person but not another. Mutually beneficial deals are always the best!

I think a JV would help. Submit your ebook at clickbank and let the affiliaters promote your book.

Send some invitation to well known affiliters so they can review your ebook and promote your ebook to their list (emel marketing).

I had been to many sites which people told me when i was selling my first ebook to start my making money online tour. The result was i have to give up my internet bill, that's all!

But the place where i sold my first ebook is AMAZON, It looks tuff There to set up an account and sell your ebook but it does really worth it. since then i used to sell my ebooks on squeeze pages and promote it with solo ads. you should really go out for amazon if you really want to sale some of your ebooks fast!

Clickbank is the best market to sell ebook! Also try Social Media Marketing, promote using Facebook and Twitter.

I think a great way to promote an ebook is through offering it to people already interested in you and what you're doing online. It's a bit of a longer-term approach, to build relationships through your website/social networks/list, but you'll get people who will not only love the book because they're so targeted, but they'll also give great reviews for you or even promote it to others if they like it enough.

I always recommend Kindle, but it does really depend on what your goals are.

Many mentioned clickbank. There are so many books on clickbank, will the book be drowned in the millions of books on clickbank?

I thought amazon is to sell kindle version. Do they allow selling of ebook?

Lots of good techniques here - my main recommendations based on our own results are:

    1. Blogging - targeting keywords and topics that interest your target market, pulls them to your site where you have a good shot at converting them to subscribers/buyers

    2. Affiliates - this can bring you a ton of results if done properly - offer an affiliate program and proactively recruit partners who already have large and response lists in your marketplace

    3. Social networking - you can naturally extend your content from your blog into Facebook, Google +, Twitter, YouTube and Pintrest quite easily with little effort - gives a pretty good bang for your buck

4, Paid advertising - once you are clear on your target keywords that bring ROI and conversion rate for your sales funnel...not before.

One other point - WHO is your target market. You mention "people that want to set goals", but set goals for what? Getting a job, overall self-improvement, losing weight, starting a business, improving their finances? This makes a BIG difference as each of these groups tends to jump on the internet and search for specific solutions to their challenges - they often don't even realize they have trouble setting goals - you need to reach them where they are with the solution you know they need.

This is a very important piece of winning with ebooks - most people really don't get this concept and create the ebooks people need but fail at marketing because they don't know how to target them where their markets are looking for the solution they have.

Hey Sky. First, nice job on putting yourself out there and doing something. Obviously having a ton of sales is great, but just the fact that you went ahead and produced the content puts you ahead of most!!! Nice job!

I do have one question for you. Which came first, the market or the ebook?

Did you commit marketing, sales and product suicide and pick a niche because you were 'passionate' about it?

Or did you do it like the multi million dollar producers and first find the market of hungry buyers, second research the JVs in the marketplace, third create a product that fits the market?

If you did the first, depending on the niche, it could be extremely difficult.

If you did the second, getting the product sold shouldn't be hard at all.

How much does your ebook sell for? You should run light PPC campaigns and do some highly effective free marketing -- such as Youtube, forums, blogging, and article syndication.

I made a free online presentation on ebook publishing here:

An Ebook Masterclass by Nick B on Prezi

It includes details on how to market your book. I find a very effective method is to find other Facebook groups already in your niche - then add value by posting comments to the group. After about 1 week send them a link to your book on Amazon or a link to your YouTube Video (with link to book under it in YouTube).

This is more effective that having to take time to promote your own Facebook page. Forums also work well.

How many copies are you intending to sell?

You need to set your target 1st.
Breakdown into simple tasks for each traffic source.

    For example:
    1. Facebook ( how many group/ budget for ads)
    2. PPC (budget for each day/ targeted keywords)
    3. Affiliate ( where to recruit them/ contest/etc)
    4. etc...

You seem to have the groundwork up but not
Confident to sell. Have more confidence with your products.

If you have all these figures on hand, you can create a
    Successful campaign with minimum efforts..

    You got to kickstart somewhere..

I think there are a lot of great ideas here. I don't think I would do PPC, but you can see about buying a few email blasts to other targeted lists to see what you need to change about your marketing. Fine tune that and it helps with most every method you use to market your book.

I also like the exclusive Kindle publishing for 90 days.

I'd give away chapter 1 for free by promoting it in your signature link on relevant forums, uploading it to document sharing sites as well, and making short powerpoint videos abd posting on youtube etc. And definitely reach out to other active product owners in your niche and offer them perhaps a ready made swipe email and a co-branded landing page with their affiliate link - specially agreed rate for XYZ's Readers etc.
