On-the-fly ping stats - how is this done?

by Kat Bartone 1 replies
I saw a video recently (wish I could remember which one) wherein the fellow submitted his site to some ping services, and then watched the acknowledgments of his ping come in from various sites - looked like a command-line-interface window.

Does anyone know what app will do this for me?

Thanks,

How To Get Indexed In Google

If you have shell access to your account, you can download a program called Putty, PuTTY Download Page , and login to your account. From there you need to view your log file.

Here's what I type in on the command line to view the log file and show recent visitors in real time:

    tail -f /usr/local/apache/domlogs/example.com
    where example.com is your domain.
