What is your Daily Ritual?

My coach has been on me like 'white on rice' to create some daily habit; a ritual. Doing the mundane now will pay off HUGE in the future. So here it is
(This all pertains to IM only)

1. Schedule 3 emails to my list per day. 6am-3pm-8pm EST. Never use my autoresponder for this. Always fresh. Offers and Insights

2. Read what is going on with WF. Post 10 times a day. Not always, but close to. Not just for the sake of posting stuff, but to be an asset.

3. Reflect on the driving force that keeps me from becoming vapid in my commitment to helping make this the kind of business that you'd proudly
tell your 89 year old grandma you do for a living, without sounding like you are into a "Bolier Room" Scam.

Ok!. I did say IM only. I did. But I gotta say, telling my wife I love her and appreciate all her loving support during this time of finding my way.

I'd like to know what ya'll do on the daily?

  • Love that!

For me it's make time every day to sit down in my BOT chair and come up with at least 3 new idea's for software AND make notes for each.... 99% of them notes end up in the bin but there you go!
  • Ya having a ritual is always good because it keeps you productive.

First thing I did when I crafted a ritual for myself was write down exactly what I wanted to accomplish in the short and long term. Not talking about money but instead about my freedom and what kind of schedule I want to work towards.

After that I figured out what I need to do in order to have those luxuries and the freedom I want. I put my goals and a description of my ideal day right in front of my computer so I can take a look at it every morning. That gets me pretty motivated!

Looking through my short term goals each day I put together a plan for what I need to do each day to move toward achieving my goals. I have a rough outline of things I do every day but normally no day is the same as the last.

Certain things that I do each day are meditate for 10 mins, work out for an hour, have a morning coffee in peace while I think about what needs to be done that day, and create some sort of content... I'm sure I'm leaving things out but those are things that I do every day.

    • I like where your head is at. Thanks!
    • Putting a description of your ideal day in front of you is actually a really cool idea I hadn't thought about before and I can see how motivating that could be
  • Thanks. My aim is to become a fire hose and not a shotgun blast... Get it? I know you do.
  • my most productive early-day ritual is before I get up out of bed each morning I carefully spend 10-15 minutes thinking about what the single most important thing I need to get accomplished that day is, then work on that first (after checking emails/incoming orders). reading and posting on forums is about #71 on my priority list. creating valuable content for my customers is #1

  • You have to have a plan. Your plan is both long term goals and short term goals. Break you short term goals into what you want to accomplish each week. Every day write yourself a list of what you want to achieve. If there is something you have not achieved for the day, put it on the top of your list for tomorrow.
