How to get traffic to Fiverr gigs?

I feel that the gigs I created in Fiverr often lay buried! Apart from opting for featured gigs is there any way to enhance traffic to my gigs?

I've purchased about 12 gigs in the last two weeks, almost all graphic design work (you did not say what you are offering). While I do look for good feedback, work samples are also important because it can be difficult to explain what I'm looking for. If there are samples I can either say "I like the header you made for so and so . . .", etc. Each artist usually has a particular style and I can choose one I like.

Your description is another important aspect. I won't click on anything that sounds like hype. It can be time consuming, but take the time to communicate, especially in the beginning. I have a few sellers I deal all the time simply because they communicate well and ask questions.

If you're in a competitive niche, it may take time to build up a clientele. Keep at it, and good luck!

This is the moment you need to stand out of the crowd. How do you go about doing?

    1) Ensure you got a very attractive and related picture - Highest priority!
    2) Feature your gig
    3) Share your gigs like you would do for other type of products and services
    4) Be the Best at what you are doing
    5) Make sure that you are very descriptive about your services
    6) Ensure that you have a title that clearly lists and attracts a potential buyer

Check out the following resources (they apply to Fiverr as well)
    Hope this helps

You can't buy featured gig status. It has to be given to you.

Relentless self-promotion is just about the only way. Thomas (above) is pretty good at promoting his Fourerr site. Get a list of links to Fourerr from Alexa or some backlink watch site, then go comment on the same articles, forums and blogs he does.

I have never driven traffic to my fiverr gig and yet get 10-20 gig ordered per day (and has been steady increasing from 2 a day when i started up) Up until recently I had no idea where my traffic came from. I done a bit of a search though and it turned out I was being discussed on forums (which is great!) so try and get you name on marketing forums. Stick it in your signature on here etc.

One of the easiest ways to stand out in graphics design is to offer very fast turnaround times.

Aim for good reviews, at that initial stage is the hardest but once you are able to gather good reviews, move to level 2 and create several other gigs/related ones two you will enjoy stable sales after fiverr ranks you high on their site and sending you traffic.

As a starter, the forum is usually the best place.

Make sure you have 20 gigs (this is the max you can have) since fiverr started rotating the gigs on the searches - if your gig ranks at the top for say "graphic design," a few hours later, your gig will rank much lower, the next day it might not even appear on the 1st page of their search, etc. They have started doing this relatively recently, of course, there are featured gigs and gigs from top sellers that rank well all the time, but the rest are rotated.

If you deliver top quality work consistently, you should see stable and increasing amount of orders. Then luck could strike as well, I had one of my gigs linked from some high traffic photography forum, I was getting tons of orders ...

Find a niche that is very narrow. Also, that has very little competition - near zero. Become an expert in that area. It is better to be a big fish in a small pond than a little fish in a gigantic ocean.

OK you will notice that others will jump in. They will try to copy your success. However, since you are the first you are number one. Most of them will eventually give up. Also, most people do not stay in FIVERR more than a few months as they find a job and move on.

Long term strategy is the key in success. Hard to get people to choose your gig. A good rating will help you. Remember to find a niche that is very narrow. Then offer a unique service. Fiverr now has extras and you can charge up to $500 for your service. Good luck to you.

Best thing you can do is make them express gigs to start with.
Then the rest of your question is answered with, the same way you promote a webpage is the same way you promote a fiverr gig for the most part.
Keyword rich in the description, title keyword rich. Youtube video and videos, backlinks ect.

When people search they have the

    Fiverr's Mix
    auto
    Rating
    New
    Haz Video
    Express Gigs

So you don't have the rating I take it. It's not new I take it. The majority has video but how many offer express in what you are offering. Hopefully not many.

First of all, try to rank the high within the Fiverr search results. You can do this by getting good ratings and adding a video to the gig. Some of the best ways to promote the gig outside of Fiverr are to promote on forums related to the gig and to use social media. Alternatively you can contact people directly like photographers who need photo editing done and direct them to your gig.

I'm not a fan of fiverr but I've had a few sales there when I was starting in IM. Back then my gigs were found for it's freshness, they were new and was really standing alone. I could tell you this from my own experience that the gig was for 5 bucks only (you'll receive $4) but I ended up earning $250 from the same client who bought my gig. Strong communication skill matters as well.

I'ts good place to start offering services. As fiverr now has up selling option up to $500, I might give it a try once again but not today.

Your time would be much better spent building a web property that you own and control. Learn how to drive traffic to it.

I agree with Brent. Outsourcing from Fiverr and creating your own website (and charging way more than $5) and learning how to drive traffic to it is probably the best way to "make money with Fiverr".

I started my gig journey surprisingly from fourerr rather than fiverr. I was one of the top sellers there. But after an incident where they didn't release my $60, I left the place to join Fiverr. I am in fiverr for 9 months now. It was all going nicely for me, but one day I decided to take a break to hiking trip where there is no internet, I forgot to suspend my gig for the period. I got some negative reviews failing to deliver my orders and got an 80% rating from there my downfall started.

However I have created a new profile afterwards and now started to earn back again.

So, most important things I learnt there is deliver in time, give a surprise to your buyer giving something bonus when you deliver. This makes a strong influence on your buyer. And yes add a video for sure, I have added my video recording screencast and seen quite a increase in my impressions, page views and eventually in orders.

You can also promote your fiverr gigs on facebook, linkedIn and twitter. You can get good traffic from them. You can also try the solo ads.

I agree with social media sites but I'm not so sure about solo ads. It would be risky and you could end up spending more than you are earning if you don't get a lot of conversions. Visitors from Google might not like the prospect of having to sign up before ordering.

Make a real shock and awe kinda presentation do a youtube video on it. My friend does this and some of the gigs I have bought also have been just because they were cool like the chainsaw guy. Pretty fun didn't even need it just wanted it and bought the extras because it looked way cool.

I've noticed that my gigs got far more sales when I uploaded a video to them. The video can simply contain text from the description of your gig in a presentation (I use prezi for it) with some nice music.
It also helps if you give a free bonus and write about it in the description.
    Good luck

Thanks for the tips guys. I started a fiverr business for my wife a month or two ago and she has actually had very little work.

To be honest, I've been pretty tied up with my own work so have not really had a chance to help her as much as I should. I'll take on board the suggestions here and get her moving.

I certainly agree that having as many gigs as possible running is a good idea so we need to ramp that up to start with - currently only 3.

      Cheers

I honestly don't know why you guys find it so hard to find traffic. What you literally need to do is contact support@fiverr.com and ask them to promote your gig. Nine times out of ten they will promote it. They may not initially promote it, but after about a week it's been live they shouldn't have a problem (not with me anyway).

Just make sure it's worthy of promoting (has a video, good description, etc.)

Another great tip - personally, I'd never even thought of that and to be honest, I'm sure many of us here hadn't either!

I never had to seek traffic from any sources other than what came from Fiverr. It can be slow to start, but if you keep your rating up and deliver a quality product, your popularity will grow and you will see an increase in gig orders.

Also, as someone else suggested, starting off with an express gig (24 hour delivery) will certainly help in getting started as well. The most used filters when sorting results on Fiverr are "Highest Rating" and "Express Gigs". I hope this helps!

Why don't you think your Fiver Gig link as your own your website link cause the link is the same thing.. you need traffic whether it is Youtube URL, your website URL or any URL.. promote the GIG in everywhere in internet..

    Facebook Groups
    Classified Sites
    Forum Signature
    Gigbucks featured
    Article Marketing
    Youtube Marketing
    Profile Marketing
    Social Marketing
    Bookmarking your URL
    Blogging
    Media Buying
    Solo Ads

    and many more..

You don't think out of the box, don't just depend on fiverr traffic itself, get the traffic from outside as well..

I hope this helps you as well..

    Thanks

I agree with alarmist, there are so many listings at fiverr you need to promote your Fiverr gig yourself, and make sure to get positive reviews until you start getting noticed at Fiverr.
