Yes. I do this. You need keyword research, a call to action and an autoresponder such as aweber.

      Hi Marty

For the last couple of days I have been toying with the idea, I made a thread the other day on here, about myself being able to rank videos pretty easily. I did some keyword research via the YouTube tool and have found some "lose weight" tags to optimize for.

Do you have any suggestions on what I would use, in the way of difference niches perhaps, I wonder if I'm aiming to high to rank for the "lose weight" niche perhaps.

Also, would using something like trafficwave.net do the trick, it's just I'm used to that and not Aweber you see.

      Cheers

I do this as well but I drive the traffic to a full site with a list option. I focus on actually helpful videos because google might start banning low quality video pages made solely to snipe traffic off YT.

It is pretty about the same stuffs you did.
What I did also is to check out the top rank video comments.
I invited the viewers to check out my video channel.
This works pretty well. Just have to spend a hour or less, you can see good results.

What i do is i include an clickable external link within the video on youtube and send all traffic back to my IM blog as i have tonnes of great free stuff on there

people can then opt in to my list from my blog if they want to

i find this works really well and i am sending a lot of free traffic back to my blog every day

Thanks for the tips guys, I'm trying to work out other niches besides "lose weight" - ideally something other than "make money" Clickbank products as the refunds are constant with them.

Any advice based on niches to build lists with please guys

I think the IM niche is the best one. Because you can give away free marketing stuff...like I give away webinars...and in return you build your list. Once your list trusts you and feels like they "know" you, you start marketing products to them...but not often. The most success comes from marketing affiliate products that have OTO funnels built in...Oh and those that have 100% profits and not the measly 30%

That does sounds great I have to say, I could buy up decent PLR - IM ebooks or something I guess. How could I start building a good sales funnel, also based on keywords to rank up would I just go for the obvious example: "Make money online" under exact search preferences = 6,400 monthly searches so 30 days = roughly 213 daily searches + the keyword has about 574,000 results.

I guess there will be much easier keywords I can focus on also, would I be able to use Trafficwave.net to build my lists, I have used that before and it was easier than Aweber.

        Cheers

I'm thinking about getting into youtube with IM videos. How competitive is it though? It seems like it would be hard to not just rehash old videos.

Anyone else have suggestions, based on good niches to promote and build lists. Is there a good course at all that can teach me how to maintain my lists as well.

It's an underground but not competitive niche:
      - "how to become a YouTube partner fast"

People in that niche are very dedicated to become partnered, and they'll do anything to accomplish that :p
Thanks for the tip I'll look into that one.

I'm able to rank keywords on YouTube with very high competition, I need some advice based on what types of niches to use in order to build the lists. I have already started working on "dieting" someone mentioned IM products also.

I can rank videos within 2-5 days flat, I've ranked VERY high competition keywords on there without any problems using my techniques. I just need to narrow some things down ideally, I have zero experience with building lists, let alone maintain them as well.

YouTube is definitely an options for anyone who wants to build a list fast, some people with really fast internet connection won't bother go to Google, they just go directly to YouTube and search for information there. Here is what I do with YouTube:
    1. Make an informative videos about your niche, for example, life hack videos is somehow really popular these days.
    2. Put your squeeze page on the videos and in the video information.
    3. You will also get viewer, liker, commenter, and subscriber (YouTube channel)
    4. Rinse and repeat the whole process again.
    5. If you don't have any idea what to put in your videos, hire someone from Fiverr and make product review.

Good luck making helpful videos, Happy list building.

If you can rank a video in a cost effective way and drive enough traffic to your squeeze page then it's worth while. You obviously have to factor in the cost of ranking and keeping it ranked compared to what a subscriber is worth when they are on your list.

    I use YT videos.

How do you choose your keywords, for me 9/10 the YouTube keyword tool spits back the "not enough data" crap! do you only optimize for keywords that have a chance to rank on Google also? or are you mostly aiming to rank on YouTube itself.

A great way to build your list using youtube, is to make a video course, and upload the first part and have them follow the link to your capture page for the rest of the course. Give them something to wet their lips with

It is rather easy to build solid and quality list with YouTube than just promote something random with PPC campaign. Almost any niche can be promoted using this method. Here is some tips for anyone who wants to start doing it:
    1. You can use fiverr gig to make video, tell your employee to make something nice that close to an example of another good video.
    2. You can make your own video if you confidence with yourself, make a helpful video related with your niche, you also ask your friend to do this together to add the credibility.
    3. Some videos type is really popular these days: life hacks, commentary on daily routine, video log, and documentary.
    good luck for video making!

I've seen it work well if you have something compelling to make people click and opt in for. so for example, free music tracks (video niche), or Music Tabs to print out and audio tutorials (guitar). Something that can't be delivered on youtube that people will move over to your site for. It extends the YouTube content.

I was just reading an email from Ron Douglas about YouTube and he had a great tip in it. I don't have his permission to post the email here but it talked about how to use YouTube video content that is created by other people legally.

Just search for YouTube CreativeCommons in Google and it's the first link in most cases. Really good stuff!

To use Youtube to build your list, you have to first get views to your videos - and this could be challenging depending on your niche. But i would have a watermark at the bottom of your video that has your website info, a description with your URL in it, and also a clickable link on the video that can drive traffic back to your website. But first figure out how you can get alot of views to your video in the first place.

YouTube is my second biggest traffic source. I use keywords in the title and description.
To rank videos, backlinks matter as do views, likes and comments.

Then I put my url in the first line of the description. I get lots of click through.

Yeah it's a great way to build a list. If you know how to rank Youtube vids and how to make the viewers take action i.e. click the damn link in the description box... Then it's easy peasy

The best model that I have seen people doing is that they provide useful video that contain good content and they direct the visitors to the squeeze page. I agree that doing proper keyword research is important but I think the quality of the content in the video is equally important too. Just my 2 cents
