Can I get traffic with only one post?

Hello, I was thinking in creating a site for promoting only one product and I'd use wordpress, so in the home page or a post I'd put all the content related to this product and of course I'd create the basic other pages like about, contact, etc

I want to know if some of you have tested this and what happened

    why not, keep on page seo in mind while you build your post around a keyword phrase then the key is to create backlinks not only with your main keyword as Anchore text but also some lsi achore text as well. Of course it all starts with doing a little research for your desired keyword phrase to see who your competition is and what they are doing, Then just do it better.... To answer your question yeah multiple times and the best part is that google will start picking you up for a lot more.

    It sounds like you're describing a sales-letter, and they work great for people selling products by converting affiliate traffic to sales. :-)

    However, if you're the affiliate expecting Google to send you free traffic that you then send to the merchant, I think you'd struggle.

      Technically yes, it does work. Not a recommended method, though. Instead of promoting a product cold on your page, use the same page to build a list and a relationship with your visitors/prospects.

      You can then market to them in a "warmer" fashion.

      It's an EMD and the content have that name either so I guess for the anchor text the logic would be that have that name either, do you have Google will see spamming and will be a negative factor if I use always the EMD as anchor text for links?

        Just do a quick Google search for similar products to the one you want to promote. Are any 1-page websites ranking well for the product name?

        I'd be surprised if there are any. Google seems to want authority sites nowadays... it's safer for them.

    I got pants-on-head retardedly lucky once with one post. I ranked first in Google and Bing for "jesus pankcake" for all of two day, making over $40,000 in ad revenue.

    I have since yet to replicate that specific feat. I also don't know why the jesus pankcake was such a hot topic at the time. I just thought it was a very amusing image to post.

        Its been about 4 years since then. No, I did not use wordpress, it was on an old website I used to maintain called Unbalanced Simpletons, where we would post crazy images and whatnot. A humor site not for the humorless

        If you're curious, the site ran on Drupal 5.

    This is what most people are doing actually. Blog posts are very much relevant and useful in terms of driving traffic. With your posts, you are able to target specific keywords of your products that visitors may be interested about. The key is to always update with fresh content and target diverse keywords and as much as you can.

      It's due I bought an EMD that points to give information about one proeduct, I wanted to be too specific to test how this could perform, although I'm planning a more broad blog as well with other domain
