    Pick a niche.
Find a PR4-PR6 expired domain name at GDaddy auction for a few hundred
(make sure its real with high trust ranking, and not too many or too little backlinks).

Make an engaging home page design that conveys your personality. Stories about yourself, social buttons, all do well to keep visitors from bouncing.

If you don't know On-Page SEO, outsource it, to make sure page-loading is fast, site is very navigable/friendly.

DO NOT MONETIZE SITE or HAVE OPT-IN AT THIS POINT.

Outsource high quality articles ($10-$20 each). Put at least 5 articles on the site, the rest try to submit as guest blogs to the highest authority sites you can find (For the sake of traffic, not backlinks)

Outsource free report(s) and front-end ebook for your future email list.

Month 2: Create Squeeze page for opt-ins. Buy/test solo-ads to get the ball rolling.

Find keywords you want to target via search. Create your main article and 3-5 supporting articles that only mention keyword LSI that interlink to main article.
Don't worry about keyword density...just keep it very low.

Outsource some videos for youtube distribution. Or invest in a professional mike/graphics tablet to do whiteboard presentations.

By month 3 you should have a good idea how much google loves you, and how well you're opt-ins are converting through solo-ads. With luck both will be doing well.

You could probably multiply this by 3 for the sake of diversification (3 web sites) with your budget.

Your like at the fork in a road. Think on it whatever you are attempting to do. Pick a road and move forward with faith in yourself. I believe that you can be successful by setting big goals and working until you attain them. Just get after it. Don't hesitate. Pick a way and do it. No matter what , you will win. You will either attain your goal or gain valuable knowledge in working towards the goal. Either way you win.
    All the best,

  • Question: what do you have to offer to the market? What specific solution do you provide and for what specific need/desire?

You know, this is a business after all, so you need to actually provide something the market wants/needs in order to make money...

This actually is simple to do with such a budget, time frame and end goal.

This is provided you focus your efforts on building your list, and providing value to your list.

One way to build your list is with solo ads:

$500 (including solo ad purchase, hosting, aweber or the like) can lead to...

1500-2000 clicks per month. Assuming you have a 20% conversion you get...

300-600 sign-ups per month. In six months this will be...

1800-3600 subs. Keep in mind that...

You can make $1/month off every subscriber. Just provide value and market products in a balanced manner. Continuing with the math this of course equals....

        $1800-3600/month.

Now, I haven't said anything about net income and unsubs, but if you promote also, just a little bit, with free list building techniques, such as forums, list swaps, even a sig on your personal emails, theoretically you can achieve $2000 net income or more in 6 months or less in this example.

        Good luck!

You might want to reconsider those niches. Not only are they crowded but those 2 you've picked aren't specific enough, you're casting your net too wide instead of niching down.

Find a sub niche in those 2 niches and fair enough but they are too specific at the moment and you'll get nowhere.

So for example within the make money niche you might focus on list building or traffic without SEO or making money from Facebook. In the mens dating niche it could be dating for men over 50 who are recently divorced or guys over 30 who haven't lost their virginity.

    1. Choose your niche (something you know a lot about/something you like)
    2. Create a free PDF ebook about it
    3. Get an autoresponder and webhosting
    4. Create your squeeze page
    5. Buy traffic to your squeeze page
    6. Share your free PDF ebook (using your squeeze page and autoresponder) in exchange for peoples email addresses
    7. Sell solo ads to people

It's very simple but it takes some time to create a PDF ebook and a squeeze page...but it's worth it...trust me!

Find out what you like, research if there is a buyer market and then create a product. Maybe sell it as a WSO here. Same time build an email list. You will then be networking with other persons, who wants to promote your product. Maybe your first launch will be smaller than expected, but just keep moving forward. It's a big learning proces, which I'm in myself right now... One day you have all important contacts you need and then your product launches will go viral That's my best advice.

It depends on the path you want to take.

You have no list, blog or traffic -- those are 3
different ways to reach your goal.

    Build a list.

    Sell traffic.

    Start a blog.

    Pick. One. And only one.

    Personally, I do #1.

    Others here do #2.

Others do it by using #3...

...some with Amazon, eBay, etc. The list goes
    on.

Each one has their own unique challenges and
    rewards.

    Good luck...my friend.

I'd spend about $50/$60 of it to set up an affiliate marketing business, save all the rest of the money or spend it on shoes, and just do this (it worked for me when I did it in 2008/9 and I think if anything it's become easier, not more difficult, since then - substantive parts of it have, anyway): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5721774

I am sorry but If you think your goals are reasonable, that is a problem.

Yes, I can dedicated X amount every month, and my target to make Y but I got to say, you need more than niche. You need to have something you like to do in your own.

The main reason people get out of IM, is because they in with one target on mind I want to make money. The only thing they don't know is what is it I really want to do to make money.

You should stop for a minuet and ask yourself, what is it that you want to do for the rest of your life while enjoying it.

When you find that thing, making money out of whatever you like is easy.

Take a break, get a cup of coffee, and have more determined goals. Ask yourself, what do you really want

Honestly, offline is the best way to make quick money. I've sold sites for $1000+ with zero portfolio and little experience with clients in the beginning.

Outsource the design for cheap (less than $100) and sell for minimum of $1000. All you need to do is some calling, letters in the mail, or whatever. You could outsource cold calling for very cheap also (I pay 10 cents per call for a cold caller and I expect 1 appointment per 50 calls) or direct mail gets good leads as well for yourself.

Get an auto responder, set up a squeeze page, find some offers, buy some solo ads, and build a list! $500 a month for six months could build you a list of 6,000 to 12,000 subscribers! The money is in the list. I can give you more details if you want. Send me a massage.

Here are my 10 steps to success...

    (first month ... )
    1. Identify skills needed to be successful in IM
    2. Identify what skills you are lacking
    3. Learn/improve skills you are lacking. This could be your first $500. E.g. effective copywriting, SEO, web design
    4. Identify a lucrative market segment
    5. Create a market-orientated product for this segment
    (second month ... )
    6. Set up website with focus on conversion using persuasion techniques etc.
    7. Drive traffic to the website
    (third month ... )
    8. Monitor, analyse & improve current product offering & conversions
    (fourth month ... )
    9. Develop more market-orientated product offerings in same market
    (fifth month ... )
    10. Go in to new markets with current product offerings

I'd start with affiliate marketing, pick a great offer something that's already proven to sell well with a good backend.

I would be looking for a product with a low priced front end $19.95 with oto's and upsells into the hundreds or thousands.

I personally won't promote a product unless it has at least $300 in potential earnings per sale. Then I would setup a campaign to promote that offer.

Offering some good free value, then promoting the affiliate offer with a bonus for those who purchase through my link.

Then I would find 2-3 more offers of the same caliber to add to the follow up sequence and do the same thing. Then as far as traffic, well that depends on the niche, since there are some traffic that works in some niches, but one that works in most niches is PPC or banners.

I can't give you an exact plan advice but I can give you the blueprint to succeed on any path of online business models.

    1. you gotta know your business model, would you build an affiliate website or adsense site, or any stuff like that.. you need to do your homework including doing the kw research, niche ressearch, monetization research, and so on.
If you don't have an exact business model, I think you can buy one of WSO..

    2. Focus on the traffic generation. Without traffic generation, you can't succeed.
You have to invest in traffic generation methods. I don't know, it can be paid or free (like SEO), or any other traffic sources.

That's the 2 key to succeed in online business these days, focus on that and you'll be good to go.

    hope you find it helpful

If you don't a concrete plan and set goals don't go with it. If that's the only budget you have. I mean, you should have contingency plans. Usually if your thoughts are scattered it would not help you succeed so better create a concrete and detailed plans and goals so that you will minimize the risks. Success will really depend on you, keep working hard and always plan ahead.

I would start by creating a product.

You said: dating advice for men.

I would create a membership site ( $7 - $10 per month) and help guys evolve from having no idea how to approach a woman to becoming a social butterfly.

You have to pack a lot of value before you even start promoting. Then, I would split my budget into different avenues and see which one would pay off (you need to start a list):

    1) ($100) Youtube videos + promote the videos using ads
    2) ($100) PPV - extremely cheap
    3) ($100) Bing Ads
    4) ($100) Adwords Content Network
    5) ($100) Pinned posts in forums that match your demographics / Plenty of fish

But that's the "money" investment, I would use my time as well:
    1) Start contributing in dating forums and blogs
    2) Try to publish guest posts and articles in men's magazines
    3) Connect with people that ask questions related to picking up women
    4) Other more aggressive marketing techniques...

At the end of the month, if you generated $250 back, you're going to make your money back the next month and invest back only in the avenues that paid off.

    That's what I would do..

NOTE: No "attack" or offence intended to Gabriel, he just happened to give me an opening to make a comment combining plenty of previous points or suggestions.

All the above is great... BUT it depends on you actually knowing your topic really well and being able to offer genuine value to potential clients.

If your dating skills are crap, then you're just wasting everybodys time and your own money.

Of course, if you are a stud and can teach that to duds, then go for it :-)

Ditto for pursuing "making money online" or whatever other topic you come up with.

I have to laugh at the large proportion of people on this forum trying to promote "make money online" gigs when they haven't ever succeeded at it themselves.

Of course, if you can purchase a HIGH QUALITY white label program to promote, that MIGHT work, but in reality, if you don't know your topic, you'll struggle big time.

I recommend you set up a program that caters to YOUR existing expertise, whether that be sports, meditation, art/design, car repairs, etc etc etc.

EVERY SINGLE PERSON is an expert at SOMETHING. Run with that and save yourself a lot of grief.

BTW, just a quick tip. If you don't like writing or can't sustain a long program of writing (whether for blog posts, articles, ebooks, etc), record yourself discussing the subject (audio or video) and have the audio transcribed.

It's MUCH easier to talk about a topic (especially if you get a friend to interview you about it) than it is to write consistently about it.

Speechpad.com is very cheap to use (as low as $1/min of audio content) and fairly accurate.

You just then clean up the text (you could even outsource the editing and tidying up of it) and you have content. Your own (hopefully) quality unique content.

      Go for it.

You have a good monthly budget and you can get building your list right away. First of i would decide what niche you want to be in, do some market research learn about your perfect prospect, learn demographics and put your self in there shoes. And this will help you in more ways than one and is overlooked by a lot of marketers. Next its time to develop your free gift product, this must be something that your perfect prospect will love to get their hands on! It can either be a report, video series, what ever you may think will help out the perfect prospect. This will start building trust and credibility between you and your prospects.
Next you will need to set up a sqz page, learn about conversion tactics and copywriting to help convert traffic in leads!

Next send traffic with solo ads. Check safe swaps.com for best solo ads for your niche. This traffic is highly converting because it is referral and almost instant. You can expect conversion rates from 30-50% depending on your offer.

Make sure you have an autoresponder set in place and a followup sequences between you and your leads. your emails should be 40% selling and 60% content. Dont abuse your list. Educate and build trust.

If you have a little free time /you don't need to spend your budget (just for reaching your goals faster maybe, but it is only a few dollars)/, I would suggest you the Facebook Marketing.

Personally, I am able to create Facebook Accounts with 5000 friends within 3 days, and it's pretty easy to monetize .

But, the most important, do what you would like to spend your time with... Don't do things that you don't enjoy to do.

After reading this entire thread, I would just like to add that after 6 years online, it is much more motivating to get up and focus on something you LOVE which is why most of us got into IM in the first place. But you also need to make sure (as you are doing with the men's dating site), that it is a hot button or a hungry crowd. Tease them with a teasing squeeze page such as
"The ONE thing women need that MEN are clueless about" or the The One Thing That Drives Women's Eyes Straight to Yours, or The One Thing You Don't Know About Women that Will keep you alone This Friday Night." Ha! how fun is that! Just sayin' but grab the hot buttons of your hungry crowd and you are off to the races!
