How much would you/have you paid your mentor?

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to gauge how much others have paid or are paying their marketing mentors for marketing education?

I have two mentors that I'm using right now that I'm paying them $4.50 per day to basically hold my hand for 100 days.

I'm ALMOST certain this is a good value, but I want others' opinions to make sure :/

Oh...and they are both 6- & 7- figure per year earners...

That sounds like a good deal......if you are getting some value from them. There are coaching programs that are $2,500 to $5,000 to get advice from a top earner. So I think you found an awesome deal! Keep at it everyday and the money will follow.

Have you actually confirmed that they are indeed a 6 or 7 figure earners? I am asking because it makes no sense whatsoever that someone of that caliber charges $4.50 for his time (if they simply wanted to help, they would do it for free).

I cannot possibly believe a 7 figure earner charging $4.50 for... Pretty much anything.

Yes. I made sure to confirm before I did it...It was $450 for 100 days of hardcore training

    Hi,
Whatever it is that you pay, look for reasonable results in a reasonable amount of time. Your results will speak for themselves. If the expenses for mentoring are within your life's budget, then you are really good to go. Listen to your heart. It will tell you if your direction is good and solid. I wish you the very best.

I'm learning alot so far. I don't have a primary biz yet...well I will in a few days...still trying to make sure it's for me...But even without the primary biz, I'm still getting leads for it. Leads that I can use for whichever primary I choose.

I'm gonna start to implement more of the training like creating content and how to repurpose to generate more traffic and leads, etc

Only when you get to the end of 100 days will you be able to assess whether the experience you received was worth the $450.

However, I would like to ask you a question. You said you have 2 mentors and you're paying $4.50 a day for the mentoring. In what form does this mentoring take place?

How did you exactly confirm that they are 6 & 7 figure earners?

Through bank records? That's the only way I could find out. Perhaps you have brunch with them? Hey I make 11 figures a month on line. Now it is confirmed can you send me some money? I only charge $5000 a month for coaching.

I don't see the logic in having 2 mentors, unless they are one team.

How can you gauge the effectiveness of each one?

I would drop 1, halving the cost, or doubling the length of time.

Not all 7 figure earners can teach, look for honest testimonials, and success stories, or ask here for recommendations.

Good luck in your training Coach,

    Pete

Oh no, they're a team. I chose them because they host the webinars I've been tuning into for the last few weeks and I've learned quite a bit from them. They are the reasons I started generating leads online because before then, I had NO idea how to market online at all.

I actually lost over $700 in 2.5 in my primary because I sucked at marketing...well till now

  • I don't know, but charging $450 for a 100-day mentorship from a 7-figure mentor is ridiculously cheap. If I was to charge for my mentoring services (I don't mentor), I would charge thousands per month per customer.

I cannot see a successful person renting his time at a $4.50/day rate...

the best mentoring is just reading threads and posts here, esp. from people who are very smart like Alexa

The way I see it is, the most expensive copy is the copy that doesn't convert. The most expensive mentor is the one that doesn't teach you what you need to know. Direct mail, PPC, and other forms of marketing are expensive IF they do not convert. If you can afford the mentor without putting yourself in a bad financial position and he/she has a proven track record, I feel it's a no brainier.
I can't swing Frank Kern's fees at the moment(Frank would be my first choice), but I'm certain there's someone here that can help me that I can afford. I just don't know who they are yet.
I know you want a good deal, but keep in mind, sometimes it's better to spend more than you planned, rather than less than you should.

      My honest opinion?

It isnt that important [again IMHO] to know or rationalize the justification of the mentoring price/rates.

Why ? Because people are just differnt.
Yes it doesnt make sense for someone earning 1mil to charge $450 per month or something like that, But there are still people around who does this.
In fact there are people doing it even for free.
And some may say at least if it is for free its more believable than charging peanuts.

But i can think of some reasons why he wants to help you, but sometimes its better to at least put a price to it, why?
There is a logic that you treasure what you pay.
If its free people tend to take for granted, and not take things seriously or waste the mentors time even.

Having said this, you cant just look at price for me, you have to see what others are saying.
And then try it out yourself, of cos if there are some guarantees or refund policy it would be better.
But the next best is to look for reviews of those who took his mentoring program.

To further illustrate my point, and to exaggerate abit, i dont care if he is faking his millions as long as in the end u benefit from the session and make some profits out of it than to have a legit millionaire teach you but you dont benefit from it or profit anything after that.

This can be further explained in this example.
When i was in school, i had math tuition, the 1st teach was an A+ scorer.
But i only got a B. [i put in all my effort]
Then he went to further his studies and he got his brother to teach me, his younger brother had just an A for his math.
But he was a better teacher as he was better at explaining and not just a good A scorer.
I manage to get an A+ for my final leaving examination.

Point in note : A good scorer may not be a good teacher, and a good teacher may not be the best scholar.
