Question about doing a product launch and A/B Split Testing...

Hey Warriors, I'm planning on doing a product launch next week. But the problem I'm running into is this...

I want to split test two index pages...

Index A: Will go to an upsell page then the order page.

Index B: Will go to the order page then a "thank you" page with a OTO

But how can I set this up if my site is not live yet?

I see if I use Google Analytics to setup an A/B split test, it won't detect my pages because they are not live.

Any ideas on how I can do this kind of test, and have it set up BEFORE I go live with the site? Or is there another way I can evenly (50/50) rotate my two index page links only?

No, you couldn't create a test before the pages exist.

    I don't understand why you're trying to?

Surely the split test would only be up to the thank you page to maximize sales?

The only way you could do it is to create empty pages, but then that defeats the purpose of having the test.

Is this a WSO - do you have control over the pages that you are wanting to test? Silly question, but just thought I'd ask?

The reason I'm doing it is to test the two different order options (upsell vs. OTO) mentioned in my original post and to find which one converts the best.

Since I will get a large surge on the launch, I figured this was a great time to test it.

This is not a WSO, it is my own product on my own URL.

Even if I could just figure out when people go to my URL, it would simply divided the traffic evenly between index.html and index1.html. That would suffice enough for me at this point.

you could setup a split test on some sub URLs of your site that no one knows about, make sure they're working properly, and then use redirects to send traffic there when you go live. sort of cave man style but could work.
      or am I misunderstanding?

Yes, that could work. I will have to think on this...

Is there a simple way to simply rotate my URL of my main website between two index pages? This way when a person lands on my site, they either see one index or the other, and all traffic is split 50/50?

I've used 1shoppingcart for this in the past, when I just wanted a simple A/B test and not much fuss. sometimes your existing autoresponder has simple tracking functions like this.
