Is the big problem getting people to see your product? "Banner Blindness"

Just wondering if it is me or that the "Banner Blindness" is just getting more intense and just can't seem to get any traction.

On a scale of 1-10 how bad do you think it is?

Any solutions, I know about page rank on Google, have you found paid solutions that do work?
