Question about order of operations

by ekimnotrab 3 replies
Hi there, I have been searching for a couple days now on the best method for performing tasks for launching a new blog. I've decided my first Internet Marketing endeavour will be promoting Amazon products. I have picked my niche, and acquired my domain, and done some keyword research to come up with blog post ideas. But I am at a bit of a stand still with exactly how to proceed next.

Should do I several blog posts so my blog looks nice and full to visitors before trying to get traffic, or should I split my time between the two even from day 1.

From my newb perspective it seems counter productive to go searching for traffic when I only have a few articles posted, but I figured I paid for a membership to mingle with the pros so I might as well ask.

Thanks very much, and any advice on future steps will be greatly appreciated, or even a link to a step by step list of task to perform in the best order would be greatly appreciated. I tried finding one and found tonnes of valuable posts on the different "steps" of doing this kind of internet marketing but cant seem to find anything that touches on the best order in which to do them.

Well, are you going to use your domain to promote ONE PRODUCT only, or multiple products in that niche?

If ONE product, make sure you make 5-6 posts reviewing it, talking about different angles etc.

If MULTIPLE, well that's easier - I'd start with 1 post per day - make sure you add an IMAGE and your amazon affiliate link and keep posting

There are some great amazon themes you can use too, some free - some paid.

Here's an EXAMPLE of one I did - feel free to mirror this one if you like it, just don't steal my content

VivoBarefoot Review | VivoBarefoot Reviews & First Impressions

The theme I used is called "flexsqueeze" - it's NOT free, but it's a great theme and quite easy to use once you get the hang of it .

    Good luck!

I actually have the same flexibility them, but I am just using the free version of it for now. I really like it. Also, I am going to be marketing a whole variety of different products from Amazon related to my niche, mostly review type posts, but I also intend to post quality information posts as well as I do intend to build a list with the site and market my own info products on the niche once the list is sizeable enough to do so.

Also, a question about the site you listed. Is it "allowed" to use a product name in a domain? I contemplated this but figured their would be copyright ramifications. Also, by just marketing one product do you have any success doing this? I always though you constantly needed new posts to keep the traffic coming in.

You should start off with making 1 blog post per day. Over time people will subscribe to your blog - if you've picked your niche right. Don't post too much per day... and make sure you ping your blog after adding a new post. And yes... still have Amazon products or Adsense on your blog to gradually make money from them.
