TV commercials for online marketing

Hello Guys,

I know the topic seems a bit misleading but i wanted to get some input from you guys about the idea of video marketing for different products ....

I have been studying this video marketing for some time now and what i have seen is that people usually prefer making a video consisting of slideshows with a voice over or a webinar sort of thing.... there is no doubt that its working perfectly well and if you rank the video you can get some great results ... but what about applying the idea of TV commercials with proper filming the scenes and making a commercial out of it ..... will it be better ??

I know there are some evident issues with that ... the first and foremost is the cost thing ... i think it will cost much more than editing a slideshow ... secondly it takes much more time to make a good piece .... but i think if it is done rightly it will me much more for some niches specially health and fitness

I just want to know your 2 cents about it .....

Considering most people won't sit through a video for over a minute, producing a commercial grade video seems like it might be over kill. Although if you created a really nice commercial for a landing page/selling a product; it might be worth it. It all depends on how you frame it, and what you are going after.

Some people go after slideshow videos as it's cheaper, quicker, and there isn't any hardware. Others like commercial grade, as it looks more professional and crisp. Both can be marketed the same exact way.

you are absolutely right ... but i think making an interesting video for a landing page will help in bringing some attention ... plus i think if its a good clip you can also make it viral on the social media which can bring some dough in the long run ....

I have JVed with a video producer and we made a clip which i shared in my last post .... we are still testing it with different marketing schemes but i think there is some potential there ....

Also i think it is really dependent on the product .... if you are looking for a commercial for a 15 $ product it does not make sense to spend 500 $ for a short clip ... but if you have a good product for 500 $ - 600 $ then this investment will be worth a while ....

Ahhhhh someone on my wavelength... I've seen simple ads with one character and good photoshopping which were on national tv. Slide shows etc are good and do work, but a live action or good presenter may work well..
