Sales page - resell rights products

Hi forum,

I'm currently building an email list using a squeeze page giving away a free report on email marketing. Results have been slow but now starting to progress. However, I'm finding the list unresponsive to the products I'm promoting (I don't promote with every email).

I'm thinking of setting up a website that has 1 or 2 or more products for sale (acquired via resell rights until I can create my own). The home page will advertise the products, if they click one of them they'll be taken to the sales page where they can buy the product for a very small fee. This way I will have an email list that have already bought and may be more responsive.

Is this idea feasible?

Your list is unresponsive to the offers you have been sending them. Try sending out a survey asking what they want. What areas they are having trouble with and on and on. This will help your promote offers they want to see. Not the offers you want to promote.

Also the funnel is a great idea. No need for a small fee if you go over the product and you think it is a good product. I have seen no difference between selling an ebook for $47 or for $9. I find I get more interaction with the people who pay more. Don't be afraid to ask for top dollar. Again the product must be good. You are on the right track.

The response might just be about your offers and email marketing. Subject lines and the way you sell. Are you pre-selling the product, or are you hyping and doing that over the top this is the best thing ever junk? Getting a list is the easy part : ) Selling to the list is the craft known as email marketing.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but.

You offer a free report on "email marketing" the squeeze page mentions how you can earn $500 a month and commissions in 15 mins.

But you do not seem to be having any luck yourself with email marketing. Have you read the free report?

What product are you promoting, is it related to email marketing?

Have you built a trust and a relationship with your list?

IMO by you setting up a page with a couple of resell rights products it's still not going to get them to buy.

Get that relationship built, build trust and offer value get your list wanting more.

Thank you both your responses. Much appreciated.

Bilkat, I like the idea of a survey. Think I'll look into that. I figured a small fee would attract more subscribers but you are right, why make it a small fee if I can find the right product that is worth more I should sell it for more. To give a bit more background to cover your last point, my email series is about 30 emails or so. I'm trying to build a relationship with my audience as well as selling. Of the thirty only about 9 actually sell something, the rest are informative giving free advice. I don't over sell at all I just try to promote what I think will help.

Mike, I definitely haven't taken that the wrong way. Any advice is good advice. I have read the report and I'm following it, as well as every other report and product I've read. I'm trying to master the art of getting traffic to my page at the moment but maybe I should be working more on what I say to them once they are on the list.

Think I'm on the right track, it's all about trial and error I guess. I'll get there eventually, I'm sure.

      Hey Chris,

That's a key point you bought up, before driving the traffic be sure to have a plan and some sort of follow up in place. Many start this the wrong way round, traffic of course is important yes but if you have no real plan then its kinda pointless if that makes sense

Mike does have a point and I would make the sales on your funnel. That is how to make serious profit, and then your email marketing will come off as seamless. I don't use my AR much past 5. I like the constant fresh contact with my list. I also encourage them to engage. Good luck keep us posted.

Thanks fellas. I think I'll revisit my emails and see if I can work on them a bit. Maybe increase the info in the emails and cut down the overall volume. I can look at surveying them too.

I think I'll also look at creating a sales page and creating a good set of follow up emails. I'm very much for a trial and error approach until I get a winning formula.

    Cheers guys.
