What Do Ya Reckon About These Stats?

Hey warriors,

Recently i created a new site in the MMO niche. It is based on wordpress and has a handful of posts on it.

Was just checking through my Analytics for the site in feb so far and came across these stats.

Visits: 43
Unique: 17
Pviews: 202
P/visit: 4.70
Avg Duration: 05:39
Bounce: 13.95%
New Visits: 34.88%

Now obviously the site is in it's early stages. But i was just wondering if these stats are good or not?

Should i really be ramping up the effort on this site or not?

It has made no money yet, needs more traffic obviously.

Anyhow, let me know what you think:confused:

It's not much and you obviously want as much traffic as possible so yes you should be ramping uo your efforts to get traffic.

Yeah, traffic is not high at all. What i am more interested in though is the bounce rate and the pages per visit. From what i hear on the grapevine, i think that is pretty good. Obviously, it will not be as good once some real traffic starts to roll in.

p.s about 60% is SE traffic

Nice to see that 65% of your visitors are returning and then staying for an average of 5 minutes - this means to me that you must be offering something worthwhile.

If you can repeat what you have done already to attract those intial visitors then you might have a nice site after some time.

It is all about testing your efforts and then scaling up or bin the idea.

    How old is the site?

And how much time do you spend on there each day?

The site is about 3 months old roughly. I probably only put up one article per week at the most, sometimes less.

Should i be putting more effort into it?

Just did a count and it has 17 posts on it. Most are fairly lengthy articles

      November 24th mine started.
So obviously i am not doing enough to drive traffic at this site.
I see that your visit duration is a bit better, but bounce rate is higher. Is this to be expected once more traffic comes in?
How much of your traffic is from searches?
Seems i have a fair way to go.

p.s. On a side note, don't us aussies sleep?

Only 9.25% of my visits come from search traffic. I'm not using paid mediums either.

Your bounce rate % is insignificant, given such low traffic.

It's a good start but with a little more effort you will probably be able to see much more progress. Also make sure that you are building a list right from the beginning, that's one of the things that I'm still mad I didn't start doing from the very beginning.

Yeah, seems i still have a fair way to go. I have a banner on the page that redirects to a squeeze page, but i was thinking of putting an actual form on the site. Should bump up the opt-in rate
