Using PLR I Originally Own as Content for a Published Book

Hi Warriors,

I've given some people Private Label Rights to some of the articles that I've written. Can I still use these same articles as content for a published book?

Thanks,
Michael

I really don't see why not. As long as you're not "lying" about the number of PLR licenses that have been distributed by not including yourself, you should be just fine.

    Basically, the answer is yes.

If you hold the copyright its your material. As Gary said you should honor your contracts with folks who purchased the material before hand.

If you're publishing through a 'traditional' publisher make sure to tell either your agent or your acquisition editor about this too. Better to be up front with them rather than to have issues brought up later. Traditional publishers are a pretty conservative lot and don't like surprises.

Good luck! publishing books is a blast. And no matter what - they at least got me on my mother-in-law's good side! How's that for fringe benefits. And they don't look bad on your permanent record either.

    best,

Yes, unless the rights included with your PLR sales state that the material can not be used for ebooks (not likely, as that is what most PLR is used for).

I don't think there will be any problems. If there are, reference the above statement .

I don't see why you can't use it for whatever you like. You own the copyright to them, so you call the shots.
