Which methods do you use to drive traffic on Affiliate Blogs?

I am new in affiliate marketing.

I know SEO is a great thing to give more exposure to your product. But this is also the fact that SEO alone cannot give you that much money with affiliate marketing.

Can anyone please tell me what are the ways to drive traffic on affiliate blogs?

Please suggest FREE as well as PAID resources.

I disagree with OP's statement that it's a fact that SEO alone, as a traffic source, isn't enough to earn a lot of money.

Naturally, there are a lot of traffic sources out there, and you'll have a ton of great suggestions. Good SEO can be a great source of revenue, just like good PPC and media buying can be, etc - If you're going to do something, do it well rather than spreading yourself too thin.

I hope I'm making sense - I think it's time for another coffee break haha.

All you have to do is to buy solo ads and do email swap to build big list and promote the product again and again to make good money

  • By my side, apart SEO, I use social networks, social bookmarking, secondary blogs and backlinks to same niche blogs.

    That's all!

    See you soon,

  • There are a lot of traffic sources. Social Networking sites, social bookmarks, forum, blog commenting, yahoo answers ... SEO is my number one source.

This is very true. I'd advise you not to put too much of your time and effort into trying to attract SEO traffic, for two main reasons: first, it's very precarious and makes your business Google-dependent, and any business that's Google-dependent is no more than one algorithm-change away from a potential accident (or even a potential disaster), as so many Warriors have been finding out over the last year or two, some of them to their very great cost; secondly, for me, search engine traffic has been uniformly the worst-converting traffic out of everything I've ever tried - search engine visitors to all my websites typically stay the least time, view the fewest pages, opt in the least often and actually buy anything by far the least often. I admit I do get tons of search engine traffic to all my main sites (because high rankings for multiple keywords happen to be a minor side-benefit of the targeted traffic-generation method I use) but I'd hate to have to make a living just from that traffic.

Out of everything I've ever tried, by far my best traffic source for my affiliate marketing sites has been article marketing (but I'm saying this as a writer, so it's obviously a traffic-generation method that suits me - and of course I also like the fact that it's not SEO-based).

I agree with you Alexa. This is the biggest reason that I wanted to hear from experts. Because from my point of view we cannot rely on search engines only.
