Any Help At All Please!

Hello All,

Can anyone out there point me in the right direction? I've been reading on different ways to try and make some extra money on-line for over a year now. Right now I've been trying niche affiliate marketing using some Clickbank products. My site www.getridofcellulitereviews.com is a work in progress, with no backlinks and some SEO, but it will take a little time finish it and a lot more time to get any kind of ranking at all. Can anyone give me any information on a non-blackhat traffic generation system?

I'm 55 years old, partially disabled from an on the job injury and workman's compensation has been dragging their feet for over a year now, I have no real family, I'm behind on all my bills, working odd jobs only to not get paid and I'm at my wit's end. The last odd job I just finished, I worked for 10 days straight only to be paid $4.50/hr. It's hard to make lemonade when you can't afford to buy the lemons.

I have some assets that I can sell off to come up with some cash to pay for a mentor, but does anyone know of a good one out there that doesn't charge an arm and a leg to get started?? I have to make what little I have left last until I can get something going. I know it's going to happen overnight, but that's okay, I'll keep chasing my tail to pay the bills.

Any Help or suggestions would be great. I know WordPress, some SEO, how to submit sites to search engines, basic backlinking, FTP and all that it takes to get a site up and running, but for me, time is running out quickly. I'm a hard worker, a nice guy(maybe to nice)and honest. So if anyone could point me somewhere, anywhere or give me some good information about my web site on how to improve it, I would be forever grateful. Thank you for reading this post and good luck to you all - Zoogie.

So you chose an extremely competitive niche and you are wondering why it is not ranking after making the above statement?

Try generating social media traffic, however that will require a lot of time too. You have to make the time and effort in order to make any money.

    BTW your site is down.

Thanks for the reply. I entered the wrong URL for my site it is Getting rid of cellulite reviews and medical information on getting rid of cellulite fast, naturally and safely. According to google keyword tool, the market is low to medium for most of the related keywords. I would think that if getridofcellulite.com name is available for sale, I wouldn't think the competition is that high.

Ok, keep in mind the google keyword tool competition shows how competitive it is for PAID ADS.

By the way, the google keyword tool shows HIGH competition for that phrase.

Plus, it (Get rid of Cellulite) only gets 4,400 Searches per Month - It's not worth the effort if that's your main keyword. Try to find some LESS Competitive keywords WITHIN that Niche and create articles and attempt to get THEM ranked. This will help build authority for your site.

"How to get rid of cellulite" is a BETTER keyword with 22k exact searches, but it's still a difficult one to rank for organically as well. Also, the website 'Get Rid of Cellulite" is available BECAUSE it's a competitive niche and it's an exact match domain :-)

If you want to see how competitive a niche is in GOOGLE for ORGANIC (SEO) results you need to check a few other things. I recommend using Traffic Travis to see how competitive your phrase is.

Sorry to be the bearer of Bad news, but I just ran this for you in Traffic Travis Pro - it's a difficult Keyword to rank in google.

If we look at the TOP 10 organic results for this phrase, we also see WHY. You're competing with Sites like Oprah.com, Shape.com and many other HUGES authority sites. Yes, it can be beat - but I would not attempt this if it were my first campaign :-)

Heres a screen shot of the top 10 from Traffic Travis (download it yourself, the free version is amazing)

I just downloaded it last night, and am reviewing the correct way to use it. Thank you for your input and insight into the cellulite keyword phrase, but I'm also using specific product keywords that I was lead to believe would work by Google affiliate X(not a very good program), but live and learn. Thanks again.

Zoogie, I can't stand to write, but if you don't mind writing, I would agree with one of the other posters that writing for other marketers would be one of the quickest ways to bring in extra money.

I don't have a lot of time, but if you can PM me, I would be willing to answer any questions you might have, when I get a chance.

I just want to thank you all for your input to my questions, I really appreciate it. I thank you for your time, advise and expertise in on-line marketing. I've not had time to PM all of you, but give me time. I'm so glad I posted this thread as I've been going at it all alone and not sure if I was doing anything right and it's nice to find all of you helpful people. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Since money is tight, which it usually is for those starting a business, instead of paying someone to mentor you, go to your local library and checkout a few books on general business principles, marketing, sales strategies, etc.

Anything you need to know is written inside of a book. If you're a visual learner, go to YouTube and type in the keyword phrase that describes what you want to learn and you'll find free instructional videos.

The issue often times is not the money you have, it's the time and dedication you have to learning what you need to learn without spending a lot in the process. As your revenues increase and your business grows, you can invest a little to attend seminars or any other kind of continual training.

For now, save your money since it's very limited and learn all that you can for free.
This forum is packed with a lot of information itself.

I'd say regularly posting content, and then engaging people on social media with it.

You need your onsite SEO to be right, but what I describe above is what Google is looking for, so at least start with that. As you earn money, you might be able to afford some services to help you get more results?

    Hi Zoogie,

I feel ya.... But I must be honest..... If I needed money right NOW to pay bills... I would offer my talents to other marketers... You could write articles and maybe offer to use your wordpress skills to build websites for others.

Don't give up on promoting clickbank products, though... and consider physical products too. I turned my nose up for years on the notion of promoting physical products...but I have found that they almost seem to promote themselves....

    Hope this helps.

I wish you all the best...A buddy of mine fought workman's comp for over a year after getting hurt on the job....hopefully things will work out for you sooner rather than later.

    Best wishes

I review websites and help improve conversions for a living so here are a few ways you could improve your site right away:

    - Change your Permalink structure (Settings > Permalinks in the Wordpress admin). Change it from the default p=000 fomat to the one called %postname%. This way your links will show up in the address bar as something like getridofcellulitereviews.com/cellulite-removal-before-after (as an example) rather than getridofcellulitereviews.com/p=100. Good for search engine optimization, especially when the page name has relevant keywords in it.

    - Install the Yoast SEO for Wordpress plugin. This plugin will "grade" your post/page SEO and give you ways to improve it.

    - Give us reasons why we should trust you. Right now, the site feels like there's no personal angle and no reason for me to want to learn more. Sometimes this takes changing your niche to something you're personally invested in, and more of your own story shines through.

    - Improve your header graphic Nothing says cellulite reduction like a mountaintop!

The first thing I would advise for you to do is to only focus on one proven method. And put all of your heart and effort into making that one method/business model work.

Second I would advise for you to focus on building a list in whatever niche you choose to partake in and learn about email marketing.

Third is I would advise you to learn as much as possible about affiliate marketing and product creation.

    4th: TAKE ACTION

In my opinion, I think that there is enough free information out there, that it is possible to successfully earn money online without paying anyone to help you figure out how to do it. You can potentially do it successful with Blogger and AdSense. Just make sure that you back-up all of the content that you create and don't violate any of the terms of service. Better yet, pay for your own hosting.

The only problem is I'm suffering from information overload! It's not easy for me to find out the right steps in the right order to become an affiliate marketer. I'll try to read some eBooks on driving traffic and affiliate marketing.Thank you for your reply - Zoogie

    Hi Zoogie

I have to agree you have picked one of the hardest niches.

If you want to make money today go to warriors for hire and sign up and offer to do work for other markets or register with Elance or Odesk and see what you can do there. You appear to be able to write so why not offer to write articles and or blogs as well as the other things you have listed.

      1. Pic an easier niche to start off with or go into a sub niche that is less competitive.

      2. Go into niches where the buyers buy over and over like moms as an example, their kids need new shoes every year etc.. (that was only the smallest of examples).

      3. Only enter markets where you can build a list.

      4. Build a list.

    ok a couple of things

beside all the technical aspects about your keywords and niche, what do you know about your customers, your ideal target market?

Do you know what sites they visit?
    What blogs they read?
    What magazines do they read?
    What forums do they frequent?

If I were you I would enter your keyword into Google and all the top sites that come up on page one see if those people are building lists. if they are contact them to see if you can put up an ad or write an email article for thier list. Or offer up a free video or audio to their list with valuable information.

Something to get you in front of their list

Another thing you can do is a "+forums" to your keyword and take time to visit the top forums in your niche and especially if they are targeting women, spend time on there noticing what are the common questions they keep asking, what are the common problems they keep running into and you can write articles around those issues, or even create a product around those issues.

Finally, I think your site could use some work.

Personally I would change your header from a forest setting to women who look fit, and healthy

Also that post that you have on the first page, I would move that and put it into the "about us" section.

I would keep the first page full of different reviews or articles because that is probably why someone would go to your page in the first place.

and I don't get the medline page that you have

    are you reviewing their site?

If you are I don't understand why.

I don't think poeple would be going to your site to find out about another site. If they wanted to know about that site they would just go there and look themselves.

Another point I would take out all the "when we Googled..." phrases.

This just tells me that you are not a professional and that you are just copying information from else where.

and it says to me that if you are just copying information then
    1) I can't trust your reviews because they might not be your reviews but just what you read
    2) that why would I read your reviews when I could just do what you are doing and search google myself

and truthfully you keep talking about how you googled, or searched youtube and what you found, but you are not providing any information at all on solving the problem that people are looking for - which is how to lose cellulite!

if you ask me how to cook a steak

and I tell you well I searched Google and there were a bunch of different site that had various ways that you can cook a steak

    have I answered your question?

    No I haven't

all I have done was tell you about what's out there.

    My final point

if I were you I would read up on copy writing

I think your reviews could use more excitement, more passion, more personalization. They just seem too technical, and don't paint a picture for me or get me excited or salivating to spend my money

After all of that I do want to say congrats on taking action though.

A lot of people haven't gotten as far as you, and I know you are struggling but keep moving forward

I'm feeling a bit lost on that landing page.

      You provide 3 links/directions.

Funnel it in better - give me ONE page to go to and stick the informational stuff in the side.

We will be posting additional information in a few days.
      That's not working for me.

This is a review site. I want to see your full review which should convince me that this is what I need. Oh, you need to cloak those affiliate links too.

Third link on main page gives me this:

      Sorry, no such page.
The site is a bit "light" for me.

Light sites can work, but you need a firm direction and better call to actions going on.

Forget ranking and learn to drive the traffic NOW.

Drive to specific pages on the site.

At this point we are not sure if this is the total package for your cellulite problem, but we will be doing a final review shortly, after we've gathered all the best information possible on this product, so you can make the decision for yourself.
ROFLMAO - why did I even bother with your site? You apparently have no clue about what you are sending me to, and from the post I got that from you state that you searched the web and searched youtube. How is this a review? Did YOU use the product?

I'm sorry, but you will never make a sale on this site - even if you paid for traffic to get there.

As I said this site is not complete and patterned after the Google Affiliate X program, and their suggestions to post the reviews a week apart and not all at once, as this does not look natural to Google. Probably not the best program, but good or bad I decided to follow their advise.

I do thank for the few tips you gave, but you can't expect me to produce a flawless site right off the bat, that is why I posted this thread. I've researched the products buy the information I've gleaned from their sales video page and condensed it into readable form. As far as YouTube, I was merely stating that most of the reviews that told very little about the programs themselves, if you would have read some of the responses below the videos, viewers wanted more information, not just links to the product.

So don't be sorry for my site never making a sale, as I can and will tweak it and grow it as best I can or just trash it.

P.S. I would like to see one of your sites.

there has been much advice about imporoving your site, but the results will take time so if you need money quickly I suggest offering a service. By your long post you seem able to write coherently, so why not go to some job boards and offer your services writing articles or doing something for which you have the skill. This will bring in money while you are waiting for that website to start paying
