If they're posting on Warrior Forum they must not be successful

I laugh every time I read comments like that.

That's like saying "If Coca Cola is really that good they wouldn't need to advertise"

Warrior Forum is the biggest Internet Marketing forum in the World. I think it would be dumb of marketers to not spend an hour a day reading or writing posts here.

And if you ARE a writer or a graphic designer.... You better spend a good 2 or 3 hours a day here.

For me, the more I read from people who post here, the more I trust to do business with. Of course I do my do diligence. I've paid people to write articles, design logos, design landing pages, etc... I have almost always had good results. And, of course, I had some really bad ones. (I'm sure just because you got a bad purchase at Walmart doesn't mean it's a bad store.).

On the other hand......

There are people who have been posting for years on this board who I know I would never trust. Just by clicking through their links and reading their posts you know they are full of ####.

My tip: Keep a list of the "good" people and "bad" people on this forum. It's up to you to decide which is which.

But, don't judge someone's success by whether they spend "too much time" on this forum. Sometimes successful people do like to give back. And sometimes successful people know what a value the Warrior Forum is.

People have built 6 and 7 figure incomes by posting on the warrior forums.

If they're posting on Warrior Forum they must not be successful
Who ever said that is full of B.S. Marketers big and small post on the WF because it is like promoting to a list of 500k+ targeted subscribers. Anybody in IM would be a fool not to post in the WF

True, and a lot of them (probably most) then don't have time to post on any forum because they are busy working their asses off.

Of course you have to work hard, but there are warriors who made a fortune exclusively on the Warrior forum. Whether its putting out products good or bad, or posting to gain expert status.

I agree that this is a great place to visit and get a feel for what's going on in the market. I don't post as much as I used to because you can waste a whole day checking to see the replies to your posts, making sure people aren't flaming you, etc.

As the forum owner once said - The WF is like an industry magazine. Just because certain successful marketers aren't posting or logging on doesn't mean they're not here reading.

Yeah.. I used to use my business account here. Unfortunately, technology changed so that business is useless now.. Kinda like the people who made money from making MySpace Wallpaper

So... Decided to terminate my old account and create this one.

Now... starting this account from scratch. It's funny that I can't thank people because I don't have enough posts.

But I'm hoping to be an asset to somebody.

I never listen to the naysayers. The same way that people have different hobbies and like varying activities, some will like posting on forums.

It's great that people at all levels can congregate in the same place and help each other out. It doesn't always have to be about money either. Some just like to give back. I think it's important for the soul.

Another thing you would never hear a successful person do is complain about selling a $7 product. That my friend, is a BUYER. These people obviously do not know what a sales funnel is or a backend.

If you aquire the right buyer from a $7 product, they could be worth 5K to you in one transaction.

100% commissions get paid for a reason.

My advice, snatch up any buyer that you can. Even someone that buys a one dollar ebook is still valuable in my eyes.

Who cares how much time anyone spends on WF, how often they post, or whether they're successful or not. Some visit once a month, some visit every day, but does it really matter if someone spends a minute, an hour, or six hours a day on here?

WF is the world's largest IM forum. A vast melting pot and gathering of thoughts, ideas, methods, techniques, visions, success stories, and wannabes. If you can't get the IM related advice, knowledge, or information that you seek here, then the chances are you certainly won't get it anywhere else.

Sure, there are the regular quota of scoundrels and scams to be found here. That's to be expected in any online forum and indeed in any walk of life. Your pet forum has rogues offering ill-conceived puppies as pedigree, your building trades forum has 'Stan the Heating Engineer' offering a 20 year guarantee with dubious workmanship, your classifieds boards have all manner of hooky goods being offered with no questions asked, and likewise WF, an an IM related forum, has it's own recurring selection of spurious money making claims.

None of the above detracts from the immense value to be gleaned from WF's plethora of information, all handily compressed into one gigantic place.

It's up to the individual visitor to ascertain what benefits they can extract from the myriad of threads and posts on WF. It's also up to the individual visitor to use due diligence when selecting advice or products offered on WF, just as you would anywhere else.

So as for whether someone who posts on WF is successful or not, who cares. You're never going to find out the background and history of all of the hundreds of thousands of WF members, and you'll never know for sure whether most are successful or not. So just enjoy it for what it is . . . a hugely impressive knowledge base and diverse compilation of IM opinions, practices, and ideas.

Some say, "If they're posting on Warrior Forum they must not be successful."

While at the same time most users suggest forum posting to build their network, grow their list, get targeted traffic and a thousand other useful reasons.

    Talk about contradicting statements...

There are no black and white answers regarding people who have a million posts here. Some are wasting their time, others do it as a hobby, while others are building relationships and trust. Personally, I do all of the above depending on my mood. Hell, most of us do all of the above.

I used to post a lot here years ago, over 4k posts from what I recall; then took a few years off... what I found was that it's too easy to spend too much time in the forum at the expense of your core business... if you're strictly marketing to IM folks then for that niche, it's likely worth spending a lot of time here; otherwise it can become very easy to spend many many hours here since it's such a wonderful community, which however can distract you from your main business. So as with eating right, "portion control" and "time management" (setting limits on how often/how much time to spend here), is helpful.

This is the world's best forum. Just participate wisely...

Totally agree! I have always been taught that the WF is a community and should be treated as such. I may be at the start of my online career but I intend to start as I mean to go on and that includes posting on the forum and helping wherever I can in order to build relationships and gain trust.

I don't recall seeing many comments from people saying that if people are posting on the warrior forum they mustn't be successful? In fact I don't recall ever reading such a comment to be honest and I've been on here for a few years although admittedly I am not glued to the forum all day every day.
But who cares what "they" say - and who are they anyway?

    Really?? Care to explain why?

While I know that there are some very successful writers & designers that are WF users, I also know writers, designers & other professionals who've probably never even heard of the warrior forum. They've found other things that work well for them.

For instance I know a graphic designer who is very successful, who has more work than he can handle, and he's never even advertised his services - he's focused completely on going the extra mile from day one, ensuring that his first clients turned into repeat clients and referrals, and it's worked like that from the start - why should he spend 2-3 hours a day on here? I know writers also who are incredibly busy because they are simply brilliant at what they do, and their clients become repeat clients and refer more clients, so why would someone like this need to spend 2-3 hours here?

You are right about "who cares what they say?"

Unfortunately, I have seen lots of posts here and elsewhere where people say that if someone spends any amount of time in the forum, then they are only a "fake success".

I must have blocked them out!!
We all know it's BS anyway - pretty much all successful web marketers either are WF members or have been at some point. Yes, we need to be careful not to get carried away and spend all of our time on here - but this forum is so valuable in so many ways. And you have to ask yourself about the mentality of someone posting on a forum negatively about people who post on the forum...

FWIW, what may appear to be 'spending hours on the forum' may be just that - an appearance. I go through cycles where it probably looks like I hang out here all day from my posting times. Truth is, during those times I'm probably here 10-15 minutes at a time, either taking a breather or responding to something in order to help someone and organize my own thinking at the same time. Other times, like right now, I spend 20-30 minutes per day, just to keep up and because there are a lot of people here I genuinely like...

All this from less than a month of membership. All that work you had done. All the bad work. All these assumptions and ability to weed out the good from the bad.

You must be some sort of GURU

    That's true, I don't get it either..

I mean, people could be posting for fun, for traffic, for a campaign, for research and many other things..

point is, even if people claim to make millions and all that and they still post on forums
    every day..

    ..who cares man?

let them, if they do it they have a reason, doesn't mean they lie LOL

it's too deep for them to understand but it's also good that they can't understand. we will have lesser competitors and more people going after the rat race to make the world go round

I don't get on here anywhere as much as I used to mainly because I just don't have the time. There's no way I'd be able to spend 2-3 hours trawling a forum even the Warriors and I'd suspect anyone who does spend that amount of time on here needs to get their priorities right. Heck I dont even have time to post in the various Skype groups I belong to.

Yes there's a lot of good stuff here, I hope I've contributed a fair bit to it over the years, however IM is a lot bigger than the Warriors and you're blinkered if you don't realise it

I am here reading posts every day. In my eyes reading the warrior forum and titles of the WSO section is like riding at the wave of time. You can just monitor trends, see what's hot and use it for your business!

Whoever said that if someone's posting on the WF they aren't successful is obviously suffering from a case of sour grapes because their WSO didn't sell

I joined this forum back in 2005 and didn't check it for a couple years around 2008-2010. Needless to say I was extremely busy with copywriting and design. But I came back because I love helping people and even if I can help them have that "light bulb moment" for just one person, it's totally worth it to me

I browse through threads on this forum to get a good idea of what I should be doing. I built my entire marketing strategy almost entirely from threads I found on this forum. You don't have to post in this forum to be successful you just need to learn as much as you can and then apply it.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[7770108].message }}
  • Really like this thread! Thanks for adding!
I love to interact here on the WF you can never know too much.

Its a great place to learn and improve your IM skills.
I also like to keep in touch on what people are learning and what they are interested in finding out for research for my new products!

You are definatly never too perfect to post here on the WF

I "lurked" here for years before actually creating my own account at the beginning of this month. Still haven't posted my own WSO. But yeah, there are plenty of people making a lot of money here... TONS of valuable information, and I know better than anyone how much small increments can add up. Made more money selling $29 products and $38 eBooks than I ever made as a salary, even when I was a VP for a public company.

    Nice post Carl.

Yes, there are so many newbies in Warrior Forum and some of those guys that's full of #### like to prey on them.

But like you, I've met many fantastic people on the forum who's willing to help and eager to learn.

Bottom line is, always do your due diligence before putting your trust to someone.

There are only 2 reasons for not going to the WF if you are an online marketer.

    You have enough business.

You know enough, and do not need to learn anything more.

The Warrior forum was the first insight I ever had to the whole "internet marketing world.."

I took the plunge to becoming a War Room Member, and I haven't looked back since. Using this site as a valuable reference and information tool, as well as way to send out help to new members.

      Long live the warrior forum..

The Warrior forum is a great tool and resource. Not to mention a great place to meet liked minded people and grow into your business.

Yes there are people who make a ton here. Many of those people have very few posts. Not because they are inactive. Just the opposite in fact. They are out working and living the successful dream. This place is marketing bliss for people who understand how to market.

What I find the most impressive about this place is how deep they have managed to make it, and how many people it has helped get on their feet and running. There really are so many. I wonder if they ever saw this coming.

Because if the forum we know now was at some point a vision in someone's head. (we all know who that is) We should all take a moment and realize what an amazing marketing machine this thing is. There is so much money that has been made on these pages it isn't even funny.

The relationships that have been made here have changed lives and desperate newbie's have gone on to some serious levels of success. I wonder what the dollar figure would be if we took every penny that anyone has ever made here, or as a result of this forum and added it up?

    Absolute marketing brilliance!!!

Someone posted some time ago that they were pissed off at the Warrior Forum gurus and such because no one seemed to want to help him with a question or issue he was having - the rant went on and on.

Some people think that IM is all that easy that we "gurus" are lounging about in our PJs smoking a pipe and sipping coffee all day. Well I only drink one cup and I am not a smoker.

But if you are busy servicing clients and building new products, there is very little time to be interacting a lot on the forum. But I felt sorry for the guy and excused my self and others for our busy bee lifestyle.

Since then I have taken it upon myself to use the forum as a "in between" task I do to break from some work or heavy thinking and to see what new questions, WP problems and what not I can help a fellow warrior with. So I think that's fair and it helps me take a break every hour or so.

Other than that - the forum is the first stop whenever I need to get info, find a product review, and a whole sundry of other things that, quite frankly, have saved me hundreds of dollars - if not more. I know that if any warrior isn't using the Warrior Forum as their first stop before purchasing, selling or thinking IM on line or off, is wasting and losing a lot of money & time!

I learn lots of things from this Forum and I do believe that there are some of them who are making 5, 6 or even 7 figures income from their business. There are some who are very nice as they want to give something back to the forum.

There are many golden nuggets here and the key is to choose the one that is relevant to you.

I think Warrior Forum is a perfect place to be on the way up but once you are there you are too busy with big list and more launches to be here So in a way if you see someone posts often hehehe -- then you know that person is on his/her way up .. It's the best time to make friends and to create relationships as they last a life time. Once you are on the top you may become skeptical of who comes into your radar -- I say give and you shall receive - do it at all stages of our professional marketing career.
