I need help tracking down where where all the traffic is coming from!!!

hey guys!

quick question? how to you track where traffic is coming from?

i have a cloaked link that has been getting alot of traffic all of a sudden and i cant seem to track down where the traffic is coming from.

please, if anyone knows of a site or methods of how to track where traffic is coming from, please help me out. this traffic seems targeted since im getting a good amount of optins from this mysterious traffic.

these are the links the traffic is coming from:3 weird marketing tricks and EZ Money Method System Set Up

please help a brother out!

    If you have cpanel you should be able to check it pretty easily in your stats. Check your logs to give you an idea.

    Otherwise, you can set up some tracking on your domain, such as google analytics or statcounter, and see where the traffic comes from after you've installed the code.

      thanks for the reply for some reason my cloaking link is not showing up in the stats. it's a plug in that cloaks link which sits in my "/recommends" subfolder.

      Alex, thanks for the reply! yes, an optin page. i know which optin pages the optins is coming from and the cloaked links that brought the traffic to the optin pages. its two cloaked links and two optin pages that the cloaked links are tide to.

      lol oh...read wrong... no, not the links in my sig lol. i thought it was my sig but ruled that out quickly lol.

    mystery solved. all that traffic was coming from a solo ad company who accidentally blasted my links (they still dont know though....i think im going to keep it that way lol)

        lol yea. a good amount of it but when you consider the amount of clicks compared to the amount of optins...their conversion rates were low. but than again, i just showed the vender the two links i wished to promote without the ad copy.

      i cloak to have my links to track the amount of clicks easily. link shorteners looks spammy and have a lower click through rate

      thanks for the reply! yes, i tried google analytics. it doesnt show all the links. i managed to track down where the traffic and opt ins were coming from through my cpanel
