Blogging with Blogger with just articles

When you we're starting out in blogger, how long before you got visitors to your site everyday?

I've thought starting a blog in blogger with the undying IM niche once again with just plain articles.

No backlinks yet nor any pinging since I plan to apply it with adsense.

So far I got 15 unique articles already and would still continue to post on this.

But just wondering if you ever done this before with one of your sites?

Not photos videos or a even a very good looking templates for designs but just pure article content that is very useful in your niche for visitors.

Did you have any success with it?

  • Never for this before.

But here is my experience on developing my amazon affiliate sites.
    1. I developed new site ( means new domain and no backlink) after posting 100 post still no traffic till now.

    2. at same time i have bought aged domain and just post hello world, then buying guaranteed approved directory submission. with same keyword (product) , my other writer wrote the same topic and the same keyword/products with my 1st site. i just posted 1-5 post on my second site and taraaaaaa got traffic for my second site .

and now i keep continuing on the 2nd site and now brings me $100 from amazon.

Next time, i will bought aged domain on my other amazon sites

  • Wow thank for this! so the difference with your second site is only that time, you used an aged domain. Interesting how much these aged domains can do huh?

How do you earn with Amazon? Is it with sales or do they also have ppc?

And thanks for the reply really, I appreciate it.
  • Any IM blog in blogger will not be taken seriously in my eyes... One, invest the money and get your own domain! Two, your blog could be taken down at anytime without you being warned! Thirdly, your building someone elses website/brand up which isnt your own! Basically, make your own website.

  • Hi,

For the minor cost of a domain and hosting just get setup with your own site instead of putting all your effort into blogger (someone elses domain)
  • It's definitely possible to earn with blogger, I think Google even favors Blogspot blogs, because Google owns Blogger. So, it can be a nice bit of extra revenue.

  • First off, I don't think writing for blogger is a good idea for these reasons:

    1. You don't own that site, but they own YOUR content.
    2. If they decide they don't like you anymore, what can you do? You'll get kicked out and they won't care.

That being said, you can use blogger to drive traffic to YOUR site.

And the way to do that is to put your best content on your site, write the next best one on blogger and build backlink to your blogger page.

This way you get traffic to your OWN asset. Not someone else's.

    Hope this make sense.

  • Wow thank you all so much for your answers.

Well I already have a website of my own with my own domain and hosting.

But the reasons I want to start a blog in blogger because I just thought it would be easier for me to get an adsense account that way. I still don't have one, didn't approve my last application.

Also, I thought I can also use it to drive traffic to my main website as that's how it's being used by other site owners. "rewrite your original articles, submit them to squidoo, blogger + article directories with links to your site etc". So I was thinking of hitting two birds with one stone with this... Or so I thought after what you guys pointed out to me. Thanks!

      Why?

Look at it from Google AdSense team's perspective: do you think they're going to be biased in favor of people whose site is hosted at Blogspot because the same company happens to own both? Would you do that, if you were in charge of AdSense account approvals? I'd be very careful not to, myself ...

You can do that wherever you host it.

The difference with doing that at Blogger is that doing that increases the chances of their deleting it. :p

  • In 2013 Google officially announced that Google Circle Backlinks increases rank dramatically. Just an idea you could use.
