What do you think about the new Clickbank redesign?

honestly, I was confused when it opens again clickbank.com
I think it is not a clickbank site, and I'm puzzled to find Login button

but, it does not affect the conversion at all.

Your customers don't go to the Clickbank site to buy your products, they go to your site and then the Clickbank order form which from what I can see, remains unchanged.

So conversions will not be affected at all.

It looks like they are trying to sell their own info product on how to sell info products. Personally, I don't like it that much mostly because the marketplace now requires to login.

Me too. I did ask cb about this. They said it was deliberate.

I have said I don't like that particular change, mainly because it is an extra step.

Obviously they can do what they want, but if you have strong feelings, you should at least give them some polite feedback.

I honestly despise it. It looks less like a marketplace, and more like a blog. For new users, it might seem very confusing. And the fact that you have to log in before getting your affiliate link, is just out dated.

I guess they might have done the redesign for SEO purposes.

I personally preferred the animated guy on the home page who looked like he just woke up to a ton of money in his Paypal account.

But that's just me

Besides that, I've noticed you now have to login before checking out the marketplace. Unless I'm missing something

I like the look of the new design, they have added a ton of features so it looks like they are trying to streamline their efforts and get people to sign up to the monthly option. The only thing I don't like is that you now have to log in to see the marketplace but apart from that it is all good.

Note that the requirement to login to view the Marketplace means that the Marketplace hoplink no longer works, viz

Code:

http://afiliate-id.marketplace.hop.clickbank.net

This link would encode all products with your affiliate id.

I think that at least the buyer version of the Marketplace (the Catalog) should have remained viewable along with its hoplink.

  I've updated my CBRocket Script (requires PHP and MySQL) to work with the new ClickBank site. This will let you host the marketplace listings on your site, every link coded with your affiliate link. It's actually better than linking to the catalog, because the pages are on your domain, in your template, and even have some change of getting separately indexed into search engines, etc.
  
  I've tried the new script on 2 shared webhosting accounts - one downloads the whole marketplace in about 30 seconds, the other one takes about 3 or 4 minutes (the reason it takes longer is that MySQL is slow, rather than the script itself)

Looks very nice, but doesn't seem to be as user friendly anymore.
Also and it's not that big of a deal, but I felt excited and like I was about to have some "fun" when I visited Clickbank...I don't really get that feeling anymore. I feel more like it's time to get to work...I don't like work :-( LOL

Does this change (making the Marketplace private) by any chance have any unexpected effect on existing hoplinks too? The regular format of the hoplinks continue to work as usual, right?

I'm asking because some of my older hoplinks which I created a few years ago haven't been redirecting properly this past week.

I checked if there was a problem at my end (or the vendor's end) and couldn't find any. Internet connection is fine too.

There has also been a very visible drop in hops count across the board in 2 of my major accounts.
