What do you want from your copywriter? (Enter your criticisms/wishes here!)

Hey Warriors.

As a copywriter, it's my job to understand prospect's minds; it's my job to get into their heads, think as they do, so I can write ads in the best way possible to get them to click that 'buy' button.

I'm always trying to improve my service, and I'm constantly curious about the perception that people have about us copywriters; are we lumped in with those 'trashy advertisers spamming our emails with rubbish' or are we better than all that?

I'm genuinely interested. So tell me: If you've used a copywriter before, what did you like/dislike about his/her service? What would you have wanted improved upon? Did their delivery times suck? Were they courteous/genuine? Give me your honest thoughts.

I'm always looking to improve my service, and I'm sure plenty of the other copywriters around here would like an honest view also! This is your chance to express your thoughts and have them heard.

Thanks in advance,

Ben Palmer-Wilson

Haha, I knew that was coming. :p

Yes Vicky, that one's a given! But I mean the method of how those conversions are given. What would be your 'perfect' transaction with a copywriter?

Personally, all i want is a good conversion rate at not sky high prices for the copywriter. I understand that what you guys do is an art, but i find if it costs me too much, then i will just do without it.

Thanks Donny! Nice list; I do actually most, if not all, of those skills. I have the deep-rooted ethic that I don't offer services until they're WORTH offering. I know of so many copywriters who actually can't pull it off. It's sad really!

Vicky, thanks for your opinion. What do you consider a reasonable rate? And what do you do if you can't find a good copywriter for the right price?
