Stats all over the place

Hi,

Is anyone able to tell me why my visit stats are all different?
For instance in one case my Wordpress Stats I have 54 hits while adsense has me at 111....

Thanks

Not all stat tracker are created equal, some may not pick up all hits, some update at different time. Awstats may be the most accurate for you.

Are you sure you're looking at the same metric? Are you perhaps comparing AdSense ad impressions (# of ad units * page views) to visits?

Are you looking at unique visitors on one and non unique on the other? Or perhaps pageviews vs visitors. Maybe one of them is taking longer to update then the other.

One of them could also just be tracking different pages or different types of hits. Is adsense counting a view for every ad it loads, even if there are multiple ads on a page?

I would recommend setting up google analytics. That is the best way to track stats, plus it integrates well with adsense.

No tracker is 100% but if its wordpress site then add Google Analytics to your blog to keep track.

Aaah I think it's because I have 2 banners on the site so I'm getting 2 impressions per page view.
Much appreciated guys, this forum is insanely helpful, can't seem to thank your individual posts I guess I don't have the repping privileges yet
