Generate big sales on Website Design Service

Hi Warriors,

I've been in this community for almost a year already and work with some of our fellow warriors.

This month is quite slow for us. Less sales compare to January. Just want to ask if you can give us some tips and advice on how to boost our sales in having a web design service?

Thank you in advance.

Justin Durano

Do you have a LinkedIn profile? How about a great looking facebook page for your business? Just having these 2 things can help greatly.

-Figure out some small part of your service you can give away for free, and use that to generate leads.

-Run a Warrior for hire ad if you're not already doing that.

-Run a WSO and offer affiliates a % for sending you leads. Almost no one is doing this with services (only products). A few are and are very successful.

--Consider a banner ad on WF for $100/day

    Best of luck.

      Thanks for this tip.
We are running a Warrior for Hire ad already. Maybe promoting WSO is something good for our business.

      Thanks,

Run a free/low priced WSO that teaches warriors how to create stunning squeeze page, banners, even websites/fan page. Upsell your services. The key is not to we money from WSO but to create awareness for your services.

One of the things you could do to manage sales as they are always cyclic and there can be a big slump at times is to have some high-value subscription services.

This isn't something that will make you a lot of money immediately, but over time, a high value subscription will ensure you have a very good stream of income flowing in. Since you are offering web design, you can think of some sort of a value addition service you could add to it.

Generally, running a promotion, etc. can be a great way to boost sales in the short term, but if you are running a business, you can't always rely on promotions to make you money. Clients who will keep coming back to you, subscriptions, etc. can help.

There's also graduating to the next level. You can go after the bigger clients, outside of the WF marketplace, too. There are people who will easily pay $1000+ for web design and development (and I say easy, that's a very, very low price for top notch services), so if you can be present in front of them, that's another way to get those big sales.

    Hope that helps. :-)

Well, your WF thread looks fine (lots of past samples). I know that competiton precludes adding actual prices, but maybe give a ballpark idea, say from $xxx to $xxx and adding that the price is only good for (these dates). Offering a percentage discount is good, but very ambiguous. I contacted 2 sellers a few weeks about creating a website and their prices were way high imo. Especially considering that they kept pushing WP sites (which I told them I did not want).

I ended up buying a template and doing the work myself. I'm not totally happy with the site because I don't have any artistic talent, but it was better than paying $xxx for a WP site.

I bought a logo from the WF last week and one of the reasons I chose that seller was because I knew the price ahead of time. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I knew what I was getting into and am happy with the result. Way better than fiverr.

As rajeevsh mentioned, the Internet is cyclical and things should pick up again. Hang in there and good luck!

Get out from behind the desk and hit local business owners.

I would avoid the WSO section.

You'll only attract cheapskates in there.

I posted a similar thread a couple days ago. Just keep advertising your company as best as you can. Advertise on different forums and websites, etc.

If you're into marketing, try developing sites for a local area in a specific industry and lease those sites or use them for local lead gen or earn commissions from sales.

If you have downtime, but the resources for building great sites, this could be a side biz where you build up your own assets that generate revenue. I do this and it works ... you just need to do a little legwork to find local businesses will to pay for new business (isn't that hard if you offer remuneration via commissions for sales).
