Ways to find advertisers for your site

Hello Everyone

I am currently looking for advertisers for my site and I was wondering if anyone had any good tips to source them.

I feel like ive done the hard work to make a successful site with traffic and now getting advertisers on there will be the next stage.

Any input is welcome and I hope this thread helps others searching too

    Just get on the phone.......

Create a mediapack and start calling people.....

I have sold a lot of ad space this year to some massive companies just by doing this.

Love that attitude. Do you find it hard/awkward cold callings?

I've never really done that before

Would love to hear your thoughts

No, not in my case because the site I run is the leading authority in my industry so most companies know about it before i make the call so its not really cold calling....

Its more about what I can do for them to help grow their business

Directly contacting website owners is the best way to go, whether you call them as Danny has suggested, or whether you email them is up to you.

I have sold advertising space and even made great connections with other people in small niches that I own websites in.

Just write a few emails per week and you will get more than enough willing webmasters ready to pay you for your traffic.

All ad networks have a "publishers" section - as well as "advertisers".

If you want to buy traffic, you go in as an "advertiser". If you want to sell it - as "publisher".

You need to search for website which might would have interest in advertising at you. Then you need to contact them directly and tell them your business proposal. You could get several advertisers in this way.

forums can be one of the solution...
find forums in your niche....add signature with proper advertising details or find forums which have sub-forums like "ADVERTISERS and PUBLISHERS". many forums have these type of sub-forums.

    Hi,

I just created an advertise page on my site along with some demographic information and live statistics straight out of analytics.

This then pushes them through the OIOPublisher plugin which automatically handles all the billing/placement - I just have to approve or disapprove ads as they come in.

    Working pretty well so far!

You only did this last night. Give them a week to respond before you can start dismissing them.
