Clickbank products - is it allowed to copy information from internet?

Hello,

I'm about to launch my second clickbank product. Just wanted to make things more clear. Let's say I'm planning to make a e-book that contains information that is available on the internet, but it's picked (copied) up from 50 different websites. Is it allowed to put it on clickbank? Or should I rewrite everything?

You can't just copy information from other websites. You will need to create your own unique content.

Can you give me some link that proves that? I know that it's not allowed to sell PLR stuff or things that FREE available elsewhere, but I mean, it really takes many hours if not days to collect this information from internet that I could put in my ebook...

You should know by deafult that it's simply not ethical, yet alone legal to do this.

You are violating intellectual property rights law.

There is value in collating information from various sources (that is otherwise scattered) and many people do that, however simply copying in it's original form and then going on to flog it for profit might actually see you do a little bit of porridge at the extreme.....and I'm not talking of the oat based breakfast treat!

You need to own the rights to any images you use.

Nope. Basically, you should NOT copy from anywhere: copying other people's work is stealing. Period. You are a thief if you want to put others' work in "your" product and sell it as yours.

I'm creating a tutorial e-book for a specific product. I'm more than sure that if I make a step by step guide for using one of it's functions I will be able to find many different articles written almost samely as I do.

For example: "You need to click on the blablalbla, then on the blablabla. If you want to change blablabla, you need to use the blablabla and then blabla"

I'm not planning to steal anything, just asked your opinion about that before I do that. I guess i go with the tutorial videos then, might be safer and maybe even easier way to do this.

Whatever you do; written contact, audio, video, it has to be yours unless you have permission from the creator.

Well, if a take your sentence in the quotation marks above AND I place it as it is in my e-book without mentioning that it has been written by another author... then I'd commit theft and plagiarism. It is that simple.

If I were to write: "You will have to click the liruliru and after that on the other liruliru. And next, in order to change the liruliru feature you will have to use the liruliruliru..." - that would be a different representation of the same idea.

That's exactly the part you don't seem to get: ideas are not copyrighted ever, but the way they are presented (in the case of a book = the sentences) is copyright protected and you can NOT simply copy them.

Actually you did plan to copy other people's work, didn't you say so in your OP?

      Here's a unique idea.

If you KNOW enough about the topic you are writing a "guide" for - you should know how to explain what to do. If you have to look up the instructions - you don't know enough to be creating a "how to" about that subject.

That someone who's been here over a year and has 400+ posts would even ask this is mind boggling to me.

You really shouldn't do that, you may get yourself into a lot of trouble. If you go ahead with it then get in trouble. Don't say we didn't warn you.
