I use to have a very successful account on Fiverr back in 2010 but a number of things happened and I gave up on IM. Lately, I came back to it and just yesterday I started a new Fiverr account with a slightly updated version of my most popular gig.

The main thing with Fiverr is over-delivering especially when you are new. I had my first order within 2 hours of posting my gig and I made sure I finished it as fast as possible and i even threw the customer an extra freebie that took me about 2 mins to make.

He has now booked me for another 4 gigs.

Build relationships with your first few customers and they will keep coming back, not only that usually in IM they have friends looking for similar services. If you give them exceptional customer service they tell their friends, you get more customers.

Last time I was on Fiverr within a week I had ten clients requesting recurring weekly gigs outside of the website because they knew I was going to give them good service and value for money. Five of them were referrals from my first Fiverr customer. Yes, going outside the website is against the TOS but when i did this Fiverr was just a launching platform for me.

Now with the seller levels and the ability to charge extra for add-ons Fiverr is much more workable as a platform.

Getting most number of good feedbacks will get you money on fiverr.

And to get good feedbacks simply do a good job. Of course much depends on the niche you plan to work but it doesn't change the fact that quality is the king

Fiverr can be incredible, depending on how much work you put in for the gig, some people put in so much work and it's not worth the effort. But, if you are doing something easy such as making a quick testimonial or something simple, then that's a different story. Remember, you only get paid $3.92 per gig.

Do not make the mistake of assuming that "making money from Fiverr" involves hosting gigs alone.

There is a lot of money that can be earned through buying the gigs yourself and selling for profit elsewhere...

I make around $1000 a month from Fiverr. But most of my gigs are prices over $25. It was not easy at first but now I have a big community of referring clients there so it works for me.

I'm on the fence about fiverr... I had developed a product that would turn a web page into an Android app and put it out there on Fiverr and people jumped on it. Since the actual app creation process was automated this was easy cash, but it still required manual intervention. Even if I saved up orders and did them 10 at a time, it was still only what, $42? Not really worth the time as a seller IMHO. If Fiverr had an API so things like that could be done and delivered to the customer without having to manually upload the finished product I'd be OK with it.

But as far as BUYING stuff on Fiverr, some of the more "unique" gigs for fun are OK but there are only a handful of internet marketing gigs that are worth it. There was a WSO once where someone had taken the time to weed through a bunch of fiverr gigs and found some reputable SEO sellers - search for that gig, because I wouldn't recommend going it alone.

Manual intervention is pinnacle to maintaining the quality of the website.

If everything were automated it would be abused to the extremes.

Granted, sometimes it isn't worth it at the end of the day, but that's the decision people have to make when they are selling for a mere $4 a pop.

Anyone can make money on fiverr...but its a struggle to maintain a regular income because their ranking system is bizarre. You could be on page one at 8am and your gig could have disappeared by 5pm. In my opinion fiverr is a particularly dodgy setup. I'm convinced the two week wait before being paid is so they get interest on your money.

Fiverr is a horrible way to make money. $5 is simply too less for a one person service. Unless, of course, your gig is ranked #1 for a high market keyword like "facebook likes".

I have had a little success with fiverr but it is a little hit and miss!

Sold a PLR ebook in the very early days but not sure if they work nowadays!

It does depend on what you want though.

The top sellers seem to be the ones offering backlinks, article writing,Facebook Likes etc which is something i know nothing about.

I see a lot of people offering services for only $5 that they could probably make a lot more by advertising elsewhere!

The secret to making good money on Fiverr is to become a top rated seller. Start a unique gig and gather good feedback and reviews. Then you can begin gaining momentum and you will begin to make more money.

Fiverr, in my opinion, is probably one of the sleeper ways to make money online.

I'm currently releasing a course that shows people how I was able to replicate, as in a case study, of how I reproduced results that I learned from this fiverr ninja.

This guy is regularly making about 500 bucks a day on fiverr (with proof) and he did things in a way that was not easy for others to copy, which was so freakin admirable.

The really cool thing about it (at least to me) is that he didn't have any formal training and doesn't even know what the warrior forum is.

Long and short and for the purpose of this thread, I proved you could replicate his success and I went on to make $2000 in about 22 days.

All from $5 gigs and at level 0 status.

Its quite amazing what you can do once you're able to see the corollary aspects of successful chain reactions.

Now...let's see what this launch does for me, lol.

Hope that was inspirational and will be glad to share more once my launch is official.

    Regards

    Los

P.S. My gigs take all of 1 minute to deliver.

I used to get a lot of writing work from Fiverr until I didn't deliver one gig on time and my rating dropped. I stopped using Fiverr after that and focused on finding clients directly.

    Offer a Unique Gig always.

I realized, If you make a new Unique Gig then in same day you will get 2 to 3 orders.
I have tried it three times and it happens again and again.

I am new of Fiverr and in one month got 14 orders and will focus on quality and feedback

    Thanks

Fiverr is a great starting platform but you have to make sure not to annoy any of your buyers and delivery quick....otherwise your rating will rapidly drop and before you know it, you're back to square one. I also have no clue how their rating system works as I've had gigs all over the show within a 48 hour period.

Most of the people I have used on Fiverr leave bread crumbs so you can find them outside of Fiverr. Some will say see a sample of my work at XYZ.com or their user name leads you to their website.

I use the Fiverr gigs to do a trial for outsourcing. I have one person that is working for me outside of fiverr for the same cost, $10 a gig, and they are happy not to be losing the 20%. And I have illustrator that uses fiverr to showcase her work. If you want an illustration at 300 dpi it will cost many, many times more than $5.00.

I was curious about Fiverr as well, so I recently started selling on Fiverr and I'm on the verge of reaching level 2.

It really depends on the type of gig you can offer. How much time it will take to deliver an order will be the most important factor to consider. Fiverr can be a good way of earning a bit of extra cash. But you probably don't want to build your business around it. Look at it as just another avenue to promote yourself.

Honestly the best use of Fiverr is actually buying services to use in your own business.

I think you were very lucky to get such a quick order. I do not think everyone will have such luck. I got my first order after 1 month and yet to get the 2nd order. My account is almost 1 years old.

I know my services are likely to be seen fade among the exaggeration of other gigs. Because I am offering some baclinking gigs and most of the backlinking packages there seems "fantastic" like "get 500 backlinks for $5". How can a SEO person can provide 500 backlinks for a site without spamming :O.

I use Fiverr fairly often, I'd say if you are good at what you do and can get repeat custom there is money to be made. I paid someone $25 to do some work for me that took him less than an hour. I will also be back to use their services again.

If they'd have called it Tenrr then I may have been a bit more interested in actually selling on there - not much I can do for a fiver, given that in the UK this is about £3 BUT that creates a great opportunity when it comes to using gigs on fiverr, which I do usually in order to find someone who's great at a particular skill I need, and I can trial them on fiverr, for a fiver... and then if they're good I can start hiring them outside of fiver on a more regular basis.

Yes but you must sell something which you can provide with very little/no effort!

I made a few grand performing 60 second testimonies. This is very time consuming though and was only doing it because i was desperate for money. This is highly competitve and once my rating dropped only a couple percents my sales dropped extremely. Fiverr is a great way to get going on the internet and make money. But i agree 100% make sure your gigs are unique and can deliver quick. Otherwise good luck!

Fiverr is more a hobby than a way to make money tbh. It's how you can get some extra coins, but it's not how you get rich.

I believe it depends on how you view it. Getting rich quick is a myth - I personally view Fiverr as a business, and if you're happy with what you do, why change?

I understand that it's not a conventional way to make money, and often people think "Oh, only $5?" I believe that having a good base of customers is great, and it's something I truly take pride in.

Fiverr is a great way to make some quick extra cash. However, from my experience, the amount of competition from third-world countries is insane and makes it VERY hard to 'break through' unless you have a very unique and top notch service/gig.

But there is money to be made.

    Cheers!

I had got good success with fiverr, the main thing is what are you expert in?
After making some quick cash, i moved on to open some sales threads on different forums and increased my earnings like 200%
So i would take fiverr only as kickstarter, it is a lot of headache for $3.9

My favorite experience with Fiverr is finding a PLR ebook such as "Ways to Making Money With Fiverr" and using that to market. Don't say that you have a book, say that your are experienced in the subject matter and you could give them tips or something that could help. Also, you could write your own with valuable knowledge and have a bunch of affiliate links or links to your site or capture page on it. Both ways you aren't spending all your time doing something physical with each person, you're sending them something in attachment or sending them somewhere else. Also, with the second one, you can distribute it and have links to a squeeze page and capture their email as well and market other things to them. Use Fiverr as the backbone to real money! But no matter what, make sure you remember that if each task you're selling is an hour or more to do, then you're still only making $4 an hour or less.

Basically, you start out at level zero. Then you must have ten sales for level one. That unlocks the extras and is good for you. Next up, for level two you need 50 sales and it unlocks even more. Rock star is 500 sales I believe, but I am not sure. Higher levels exist, but I do not know what they are.

  • I saw somewhere it might have been the other IM forum blackhat something where you could sign up to a group that promotes each others Fiverr offers so people sign up but you don't actually execute the work and they give you a good review. In turn for your review, you have to do the same for someone else. Its a scheme - greyhat in my opinoin but a good way to get things moving on Fiverr.
