A different blog for each niche?

Hey guys!

I promote several different niches and was wondering if I should make a different blog or web 2.0 property for each specific niche or if one would work for all of them. These sites are sites like Digg, Tumblr, Squidoo, Blogger etc...

IMOP, I would definitely do a separate one for each niche. Keep them separate.

Probably best to have seperate web 2.0 sites for each niche. So make a bunch for say running/fitness, a seperate bunch for skin care etc etc

then link each set individually back to your money sites, but dont link the unrealted web 2.0s to unrelated money sites, they have to be related

keep them separate would be less confusing for the readers too

Keep them seperate and others will see you more as an "expert" in that niche. Start combining niches and your readers will start thinking you are blasting spam.

I would go for separate web 2.0's for each niche plus you may want a private blog associated with each site to better engage the audience.

I would do both. Have a separate web 2.0 for each niche, then several larger 2.0's that includes all your smaller 2.0's (kinda like authority sites for your 2.0 empire)
No point in limiting yourself to either or...

You've received lots of good advice here. If I were in your shoes, I would first focus on ONE niche, and one traffic technique and absolutely MASTER it. Then move to the next niche or even sub-niche within you main niche.

Always use properties you DON'T control as feeders to the property you DO control i.e. make sure squidoo, youtube, wordpress etc. all feed back to your main squeeze/blog - don't depend on something someone else controls.

That way, you can also test out new traffic techniques, newsletters, ppv etc. etc. and focus on what works best.

Always build a list at the end of the day. Always capture leads on your main site for repeated marketing opportunities.

    good luck!

    Hi there,

I'd definitely keep them separate, especially when they are different niches. Also, if you're serious about developing your blogs, I'd go for Wordpress instead of Squidoo. You need to OWN your blog and Squidoo, bloggers etc can take them down anyday!

Now, I am using Squidoo too but not for "blogging" as such.

    Good luck.

I have one product that I intend to market to several niches, one at at time, as the advice above directed.

I have a sales funnel in place that is intended to accommodate all of the niches, so I go from specific 2.0/blog sites to my main sales events and pages, into a membership site where they are all learning the same content.

I teach a specialized sports stretching routine that is great for all sports, levels of fitness, etc.

I'm wondering.... is it okay to go from the specific to the general as my prospects move through my sales funnel?

If, for example, a runner hears me speaking directly to the concerns of running in my initial contact with them,

and then gets to the events that are more generally directed,

does anyone have any experience with that and advice on how to do it well?

I want to maintain their interest without having to build sales events just for each niche.

Each niche on its own website, but make sure to link them up to cross promote your websites.

Hi...can someone tell me what one would do in this situation. I have a sub niche, blog that I'm running out of ideas for . Read recently that I probably should have started off with the broader keyword of the sub niche to get more ideas and more link juice. Is there anyway to put the sub niche keyword together on the same blog with a purchased broader keyword. (Remember the sub niche keyword is already on its own blog and getting about 950 visits a month) Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Keep the blogs seperate for each niche, which will help organise yourself.

even though they are in the same niche - like, weddings - broad keyword and wedding music as the sub niche? And what would be the best way to link them for ranking.

Thanks so much for your help.

    1. You don't own those web 2.0 properties. They can be closed, locked or deleted at any time. Investing your efforts towards something you don't control is foolish.

    2. I'd like to know how you go about publishing share worthy content across several niches.

    3. How accurately are you split testing, tracking conversion rates, engaging with your audience, interacting with your subscribers, tracking optins, creating offers, maintaining your sites and proactively generating traffic across ALL seven niches?
