Adding VIDEO on my Blog going wrong???

Hey Warriors, I just started a blog and I am planning to embed youtube videos.

the only problem is that visitors will play the video on the homepage and will not go to the post page

the reason that I want to visitors go to the post is for me to promote my affiliate offers for each post.

the perfect idea is to have them to click on the video on the main page... then go to the post where the vid will play automatically.

thanks for you help in advance!

PS: I've looked at several plugins but I don't know which one should i use. If you know... let me know.

Wordpress has the MORE tag that you can use.

You can include a image and make it a roll-over such as the guy in the example website did. Must be a plugin around somewhere...

I think you can do this with Smart Youtube but it might depend ont he theme you're using

So you should take a screenshot of a video, and then hyperlink that to the post page. That's the cheap way, and will get most people to click, although the image is static.

This guy has gone a step further - included code to show an image over the video screenshot to make it look like a proper player. Very clever - couldn't see whether he has a special plugin for this, but I suspect he has. You'd have to do some searching to find if one exists...
