Finding Out If Someone Has Just Registered A Domain

Hey there,

I wonder how people find out if a company has just registered a new domain and what it is.

For example you read all the time just before launches reporters or bloggers find out that company X has just registered a new domain that hints at the new product launch.

How and where can you find out new registers by specific companies?

Thanks!

You can go to Whois Domain Lookup Search - Whois Lookup: Find Who Registered a Website, Check Domain Name

When you type in the domain it will give you the info on the domain name. Hope this helps.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Nothing really digital related - the niche i am in the biggest company has a new physical product coming out, they have been teasing it the past few days (all a bit cryptic). I want to stay ahead of the game and register some domains around the new product (maintenace etc) but i need to know what the product will be called!

Problem solved - one of the teasers HTML code contained a rogue meta tag which appears to be the new product name. Checked a couple URL combos based on their other domains and sure enough there it is.

          Domians bought

          Super sleuthing!

If they have more than one website then on WHOIS you can click on "NAME owns about XXX other domains", but I you need a paid whois subscription for that.
