help installing wp robot

INTERNET MARKETING

Okay, still on my IM journey, and getting there on IM money.
I just need some help on installing wp robot pls.
So what I did so far.
Searched for wp robot on my wp dashboard
Installed and activated it.
Didn't make any changes right away.
Then I looked for some help and I find this reply on wp . org

Hi their

Just install this plugin WP Robots Txt

Goto settings/privacy settings

Then add this to your robot txt file

User-agent: Googlebot
Allow: /

Thats it.
=======================

I replaced the privacy settings box with those and still nothing changed.

When I'm looking at photos and youtube tutorials, I can see that they have this wp robot tab with the gear icon.
I don't have that gear icon so clearly I failed at installing it.
Help please.

Searched for wp robot on my wp dashboard

There you go... you can NOT install paid plugins from your wp-admin.

First go and buy it!

"WP Robot" and "WP Robots Txt" are 2 [TWO] separate plugins!

Yes, the plugins you are seeing in your own wp-admin are the plugins stored at:
WordPress › WordPress Plugins - and they are all free.

However, the plugin mentioned in your post ("WP Robot") is NOT a free plugin - google and find it.

Unless you are totally lost and have no idea what plugin you are looking for...
